  • Personally, I prefer to have food at least an hour before cardio. Maybe its all in my head, but even if its a banana or a bowl of cereal it makes a big difference to how I feel when I'm in the middle of exercising. There's no hard and fast rule IMO, try both and see how your body reacts.
