  • After I had knee surgery I used the bike to rehabilitate it, as its the lowest impact. So therefore, I recommend! I pray that your knee will heal and you dont have to have surgery!
  • I do guesstimate. Its hard to get it exact. Also, for me...I want to be able to make good choices in any situation, and not feel deprived either. So if its having a little grubby pub food to keep some normalcy to my "diet", then I'm ok w/ that, because its real life and its going to happen in the future, even when I've…
  • I have the Polar 6 and I love it! The only thing about it that I can complain of is that it seems to need body heat to "find" your heart rate. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem. So when I go in from the outside here in Colorado, it can take a few minutes of lag time and warming up before a heart beat is…
  • I live in Colorado, so cold weather is a friend of mine :grumble: . Snacks that work for me: 100 cal bag of popcorn Hot tea - tames the craving by giving you a warm sweet treat w/ no calories (i put splenda in mine) Hot edemame w/ salt or soy VitaTop Muffins (100 cal) Those are the best! Good luck w/ your "cold"
  • In my mind, the more protein, the better. I try to have over 100 g protein per day (even though MFP says a low number on mine too). Protein is great for rebuilding muscle if you have been working out. Its not going to make you gain if its lean protein, it will make you stronger and rebound quicker from workouts.
  • I'm a big fan of the Safeway Eating Right label. Their frozen meals are very good, good portion, low sodium, and low calorie. 250-400 depending on what you have. I had Chicken Poblano today, and it was yummy!
  • If you are eating a couple hundred cals 3-4 times a day, then yes you are getting to about 1200 calories per day. That is the minimum amount of calories your body needs to normally function. Then you are working out, burning 700+ calories. That means your body is running off of about 500 calories. Remember, your body NEEDS…
  • Haha dont worry about it. No question is stupid. A "thread" is a Message Board topic and the answers that are attached to it. The more comments and answers the longer or bigger of a thread it is. You started your own here
  • Very well done! Keep it up!
  • then just get an accurate HRM and input those numbers, thats what I do
  • Hey Nicole, From what I hear, the closer you get to your goal (or if you have very little to lose) it gets slower and harder. Are you tracking everything in the food journal? you may want to make it public so people can take a look and give advice. I'm no expert :ohwell: . It sounds like you are doing the right thing…

  • The only thing I take are the garden of Life Perfect Food - Super Green Formula pills. They are like condensed veggies. I have taken them religiously this winter, and I think its the only reason why I have not gotten sick (and everyone around me has!!)
  • Welcome, and good luck! I know you can do it! :flowerforyou:
  • I hear ya....I have a big knee problem too and it stinks!!
  • Thanks so much for the add! We CAN do this!
  • I actually dont mind =) I can get some pretty severe cramps unless i have been working out, or discontinue working out during, so its great motivation for me to keep going through the bloating and all. :drinker:
  • Totally worth a rant. My hubby has the same problem. I've started eating whatever pasta he makes on a big bed of fresh spinach. I know it sounds weird, but it mixes really well w/ pasta, and fills me up so i can have a much smaller portion of what he is making.

  • Are these numbers with, or without the shell?
  • Bump
  • Loritas - me too! I have the music on my ipod and itunes and play it when making dinner or cleaning. Always have that Zumba music running in my head!
  • I get bored very quickly, so I am always changing things up. Sometimes I am into going to the gym, sometimes being outside, sometimes at home doing P90X or other video. Right now, with the weather changing, I have found it motivating to go to classes at my gym, and just bought a 20 pass punch card for Zumba. I look forward…
  • This is probably something you should talk about with your doctor! Good luck!
  • yum! thanks for sharing, can't wait to try!
  • Born and Raised in Portland, Oregon Moved to Colorado 13 years ago, and reside between Denver and Boulder! I miss the rain!!! And water. Can't wait for the snow though
  • Your body will fight you tooth and nail against change! Thats why people plateau too. You body is very comfortable with the junk you put in it, and it takes a while to get it "trained" to act differently and react differently. Don't get discouraged! You may need to up your vitamin intake to boost your energy, or you may…
  • I think the one constant that you could focus on would be calories. Because a calorie is a calorie, no matter what type of food you put in your body, and if you watch those you WILL succeed. Once you get a hang of that, then you can worry about what type of calorie, organic, whole grains, fruits and veggies, etc. You will…
  • No idea, but its probably because your body is in shock from losing so much weight in such a short amount of time! 22 lbs in one month, its amazing!! The typical loss is about 1lb a week, so you can see that your loss is a bit faster. I woudn't worry about it too much, keep up the healthy eating! Maybe switch up your…
  • Its been a month, and I thought I would give you an update. The bikini area, where she lasered me is about 75% gone already, with just one treatment. I started off with just 3 fingers width both inside and outside the bikini "line", to take it slow. My underarms its about 25% less hair then when I started. I think that the…
