  • On days when I'm feeling fat, he'll eat half my donut so I dont have to log all of it. He has promised to honestly tell me if my butt starts to get big. He has actually swatted a cookie out of my hand before. It went flying out of my hand across the kitchen. It was hilarious because it was so unexpected. True love, I tell…
  • The comments on this post make me weep for humanity. :noway: OP: I dont have any advice. I just wanted to offer some support. Dust it off and start over tomorrow.
  • Credit Karma is for your TransUnion. Check out Credit Sesame for your Experian for a monthly score and monitoring or you can use credit.com. Quizzle does your Equifax but its only once every 6 mos.
  • I dont think its been said yet but you can send a cease and desist letter telling them not to call you at your work or home phone number. They are bound by federal law to comply except to notify you they are filing suit or no longer collecting on the debt. Send it CMRRR. Also, check out creditboards.com for more advice.…
  • 72% Ghiardelli Chocolate square with 1Tbsp of Nutella or 1 Tbsp of Creamy Peanut Butter (measured with a scale for accuracy) smeared on top. It turned into an evening treat I look forward to although sometimes I'll do two instead of one.... I've never been a HUGE milk chocolate fan... always liked darker chocolates.
  • I didn't for the majority of my weight loss but invested in one when I stalled out. As you get closer to goal weight, you need the extra precision of a scale to make sure you are accurate. I agree about the grams/ounces/tare function. I got mine at Walmart for less than $20 -- no complaints.
  • Can you get a negative bonus? I was informed today I was not getting my raise like promised because they cant afford it. Merry Christmas... jerks....
  • World After by Susan EE & The Falconer by Elizabeth May Before that I finally succumbed to peer pressure and read the Harry Potter books -- a decade late, I know. I participate in the Goodreads challenge every year. 2013 was 2 books a month. next year I'm bumping it to four.
  • The family photo in the courthouse the day I adopted my stepson. One of the happiest moments of my life and I look at the picture of me and it makes me sad. I still love the picture, it was a great day but its my motivation that I'll never be that way again.
  • It's like your my weight loss twin. Same starting weight, same current weight, same time period. Even plateaued the same. I've recently invested in a digital scale and I'm starting to see some movement. I was vastly overestimating my portion sizes particularly meat.
  • I'll also throw out Pocket Yoga for iOS.
  • I had terrible bowel issues on the non-extended release for over a year. Switched to extended release and now rarely have problems. I've lost weight but I dont attribute that to the Metformin. It helps but its definitely not a magic pill. What it did do was regulate my cycles. I've actually reached a point where I wonder…
  • My mother lost her foot (diabetes.) She has terrible problems with phantom pain.. sometimes incapacitating and its been several years. She goes through several prosthetics a year due to changing in length of her leg. Sometimes she cannot use her prosthesis due to it being painful. She hates having to constantly wear shoes…
  • My only real advice would be to consider how you are going to eat at goal. Are you going to go back to eating her cooking? Is your idea to feed yourself temporary to lose weight? If so, I would advise continuing to eat what she makes and exercising portion control. It'll be easier to keep it off in maintenance if you learn…
  • Get a food scale. Weigh your casserole dish empty. Weigh it full. Subtract weight of dish. Enter the weight as the serving size. Tare out the weight of your bowl or plate. Add your serving to the plate. Enter into journal. This is how I do it. Hope that's not confusing.
  • Yesterday I was at my sister's work and snagged two small "two-bite brownies". Fine and tasty till I looked at the calories = 180! Really? And its more of a one-bite brownie. Ugh.
  • Wellbutrin actually exacerbated my anxiety tremendously (and I was on it for years and didn't realize that was the problem). I couldn't make telephone calls while on it and had horrible shaking problems. Second I stopped, I felt so much better. I think the last one I tried was Zoloft and it also hindered libido. If I was…
  • For me, increasing my dietary fat helped tremendously -- my macros were out of whack (to carby not enough healthy fats.) On days when I'm going to be in a sure-fire panic attack situation, I take a klonopin. I don't want a maintenance drug if I don't have to.
  • I started today. Did W1D1 on the treadmill today. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I put the incline on .5 today but I'm going to increase to 1 next time. Halfway through I was like, "Am I done yet, this sucks!" but by the end, I had enough energy I did 10 minutes on the elliptical before the kids started…
  • After dinner on Saturday, I got up to use the restroom. My sister asked me if I was going to go throw up my dinner. Of course, she now affectionately refers to me as "skinny b*tch."
  • Technical writing pays the bills but my dream is to branch out into published fiction.
  • I would hazard a guess that she is losing body fat which in turn is making her existing muscles show through. You can't gain muscle in a calorie deficit.
  • We got hitched in Vegas. If family is a concern, invite them -- at their own expense. :) My family flew out for the occasion.
  • I suggest joining this group and posting on their forums. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3070-p-c-o-sis You'll get more responses. Yes, I have PCOS. I take birth control and Metformin to manage the symptoms.
in PCOS?? Comment by rachel4304 April 2013
  • I currently have an iPad. I've had a smaller tablet before. I prefer the size of the iPad. The smaller one was too close to the size of my iPhone. About the only thing I would like about the smaller size is it would be easier to carry. If you intend on taking it a lot of places, smaller might be better. I rarely take my…
  • I have PCOS -- diagnosed over four years ago. You may add me if you wish. You might also want to check out this group http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3070-p-c-o-sis You'll find other women with the same problem.
  • Talking and texting.... live without... I HATE talking on the phone. Internet... live without... At risk of getting nerd all over your shoes.... I donated all my books and bought replacement e-books... I read on my iPhone.... Without books.... I wouldn't last long....
