I find having rice/corn thins as opposed to bread with salad greens and a bit of meat on them, a calorie and fat saving lunch. I see that you also love cheese- I made the switch to cottage cheese or having smaller amounts of cheese to get the taste.

It took me two weeks to start losing weight, but I drew confidence from the fact that I was not gaining weight.

If I fear that I've eaten under 1200 calories, I go and have some fruit, like an apple or a mandarin orange. That usually helps.

I've noticed that I've been allowing myself too much food, because I got "half a pound" mixed with "half a kilogram" (darn imperial measurements, only two countries in the world use them.) Anything that involves dancing- then it seems more fun!

Now I move boxes and move a lot when I work, I play percussion instruments in a band, I do Aqua Power at the pool, DanceFit at a local hall, a bit of yoga, drum practice, a bit of Zumba and a fair bit of walking with or without a canine (but I probably should do more walking).

Does anybody know of a good set of 'steps' one can take to achieve a push-up, for example, core body exercises, squats etc.?

Hence the reason why my cat is my profile picture. When I lose more weight, I'll make a cartoon picture of myself.

I eat back some to most of my exercise calories, but not all, just in case my calculations are not entirely correct.

I can do all my usual exercises except anything in the pool. I'm paranoid about blood leaking into the water.

The final straw was when I fit into something that was size 20. I don't ever want to be above size 18, at the largest. Also, I want to travel to interesting countries like Italy and Ethiopia, as well as enjoying the splendours of New Zealand, and I want to enjoy them whilst being fit.
