Well I tried out my soft-seat riding briefs today in hot and humid conditions, and whilst initially I felt like I was wearing Pampers, the moment I sat in the saddle they just moulded in all the right places. Not a blister in sight. Would thoroughly recommend them

Haha..I have something similar in the tack box and considered it today, but I thought I'd give the baby powder a go. It was our hottest day yet, and humid, and although we only walked...no blister . I'm finding out about all sorts of anti-chafe creams/powders/gels. I've ordered myself some 'soft seat' riding…

Yes. it's amazing how sensitive such a small sore can be  .Baby powder...Now that sounds like something to try. My delicate area is in exactly the same place. I checked my jods and I think you have something there with the seam suggestion. I'm going to look and see I can get some with more subtle seams. Thanks…

"Monkey butt" But I don't think I can handle repeat blisters in order to get a callous :noway: . Last weekend I only walked for about 30 minutes and hey presto...blister. It was very humid and I'm sure that was the problem. It took a few days to feel comfortable even to sit on! I just don't have any padding there…

As many people have said, it's different for every couple. As long as the frequency is mutually acceptable, it's all good. For us 'normal' is 2-3 times a week after 24 years of marriage (together 29), but there have been leaner times. It's also about quality not quantity.

Hello and welcome to MFP. It's a really supportive place and the tools are great. Well done on your initial weight loss too! Body boarding sounds like fun and a great way to burn calories! If you're looking for friends to help motivate and support you, feel free to add me

I've wondered the same myself. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy just over a year ago and apart from very mild occasional warm flushes, I'm not aware of any other symptoms. Like you, I was having periods right up to my op which was the day before my 51 birthday. I'm hoping this is as bad as it gets!

I guess it depends on how accurate you want to be. I'm sure there's a scientific way to calculate and if you Google it you may even find a related calorie counter. I think I would probably look through the mfp exercise database and adapt one on of the 'exercises' already listed. For example you may equate your hay baling…

Sounds like you're doing all the right things. It'll take time an perseverance, but that's why this site is so good because you make friends with like minded people who encourage you all the way. I'm now 26lbs lighter for my 14.3, 21 year old mare and I'm sure she appreciates it. Did you know you can eat for menopause to…

I had a full hysterectomy a year ago tomorrow and have lost 16lbs since. I made a point of losing weight before the op because of all the stories I read about weight gain, so I'd already lost 10lbs. I was very careful with my diet post op when I couldn't exercise. I started riding again at 14 weeks post op, and also…

Yes, it's true but you can help yourself by eating more phytoestrogens (vegetable oestrogens) such as soya, lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans, peas, garlic, celery, seeds (especially linseed, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame), grains (rice, wheat etc), fruit like apples, plums, cherries, citrus, vegetables like broccoli, carrots,…

Yep. Just feel hot then it passes. I guess we're the lucky ones
