There are several different Stevia products that may have additives, chemicals, etc. For example, Truvia is cheaper than pure stevia because the additives allow the manufacturer to sell a higher volume with using less of the "good stuff". The best option is to buy a product labeled, "Pure Stevia Extract". Look at the…

Yep, that was a huge postitive for me- no blood sugar effects. I am trying to get my diabetic grandfather to switch from equal to stevia now!

It is at most health food stores. Since it is not considered a "food" you may not find it at your grocery store; it may be in the health food/dietary supplement section of your grocery store though. I know for a fact that Trader Joe's carries it.

Thanks for sharing everybody!! I just found another recipe that I haven't tried yet: Sea Salt Scrub 1 cup Sea Salt 1 cup Cornmeal 1 cup olive oil (this seems like a lot, but maybe the cornmeal soaks it up??) sounds easy enough!

I'm a couple days late, but I'd still like to join! This is my worst habit. My cutoff is 7pm.....hopefully this will keep me more accountable!

Fairmont Hotel Chicago is quite nice. It's about a 15 minute walk from Navy Pier and one block over from Michigan Avenue. The water taxi to Navy Pier also picks up right around the corner.

I am hypoglycemic and cannot eat refined sugar (glucose). Sugars in fruits occur in a different form though (fructose) which breaks down differently, and the fiber in the fruit allows it to process through the body more slowly so blood sugar spikes do not occur. So, it is different that eating a cookie or cupcake. However,…

Haha oh my gosh! In my recent forum topics the only part of the title that showed up said "I got rid of my granny..." I was a little worried that you had offed your grandma for a second there! I'm glad that's not the case. way to go! That is certainly an accomplishment within itself!!

I had never heard of this before either. Just found this info... http://hcgdietinfo.com/HCG-Weight-Loss-FAQ.htm What is hCG? hCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a hormone produced by the placenta during pregnancy. During pregnancy, the substance almost completely controls the woman's metabolic functions.…

I am from the Chicago area. I would also recommend doing the magnificent mile on Michigan Avenue, and ride to the top of the sears tower (or "willis" tower now as they are calling it). It is a beautiful view. The water taxis are awesome because you get out on the lake, but it's only like $3 from union station to Michigan…

That's exactly what this was like! I have never seen such huge blisters. It's funny how I didn't even notice until I was home and I took the shoes off. I knew my feet hurt, but I had no idea I had blisters. I even rode my bike home from the train station after the long day...I'm surprised they didn't pop then.

Thank so much sarge! I just needed a kick in the butt. I knew what I needed to do, but I was scared. So, I stopped being a wimp and I did it and it didn't even hurt...and now I can walk again! Glad that's over with. Now I just need to make sure I take care of them so they don't get infected.

Thanks so much everybody! I really think the IUD is the way to go. I am a little bit concerned with the process of having it inserted, but I think it would be worth it. I think in some ways it is healthier to avoid adding all those hormones to my body.

This is basically exactly what happened to me! I was doing everything the same, but my legs started developing cellulite and my tummy was always bloated. yuck! I figured there just has to be a way to avoid those results.

Thanks so much for the advice ladies! :flowerforyou: I think I am going to discuss a new method (not the pill) with my doc.

I absolutely agree...best toast EVER. I always get the low sodium. There are also a lot of other nutritious and natural Ezekiel products...pasta, tortillas, etc. Food For Life Baking Co. is the company that actually produces Ezekiel 4:9 products and a few other varieties. Their website foodforlife.com discusses all of…

I don't know about the Atlanta area specifically, but I found it at my local grocery store (Dominick's...not sure if it's a nationwide chain). It was a bit tricky though because it was actually in the frozen section rather than with other breads since it does not have preservatives. Trader Joe's also carries Ezekiel. Hope…
