If I allow myself to have a treat like potato chips, I have to put the serving size in a dish. Then I seal up the chip bag with my seal a meal (so worth investing in one).

Like others have said, potatoes are not really bad, but some are better than others. White potatoes are higher glycemic carbs than red potatoes or sweet potatoes, so we try to eat more of the latter.

Definitely look up the Couch to 5K program! Also, be sure you have properly fitting running shoes to protect your joints. You can do it!!

I also had a radical hysterectomy 8 years ago. The only thing that has worked for me is to log my calories and exercise. I am at 1200 cal/day net. I have to be careful not to eat less than this, or my body will go into emergency mode and the metabolism will slow even further. So far I have lost 8 pounds on MFP.
