Realpure: "Lost another of my "wong direction" pounds! " Too funny! (By the way, would someone tell me how you copy a quote and paste it into your reply? Can't figure that out.) Mammaj, your post sounded so sad. You're right, just choose one change and really commit yourself to it. You can do this! Virginia, you are such…

Nancy, I love your positive attitude! It reminds me that this is all a learning experience. My gym just started a mind-body-spirit program, and today was a discussion of the book "You Create an Exceptional Life." Great book about the effect affirmations and a positive attitude can have on changing your life. It really…

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm thrilled to find such an active group! How on earth does anyone respond to every post? I don't know how I'll ever keep everyone straight, but I'm going to try. Barbiecat, I think line dancing sounds like so much fun. I wish there was a place near me for country dancing. I've going to try…

Good morning, everyone! I'm new here, but have been looking for a consistent source of support on MFP for some time. This looks like an amazing, active group, and I hope to get to know you and give as well as get some motivation and support. I'll start by sharing my story and goals. I had no problems with my weight through…

I'd like to join you! My goals for February: Lose 7 lbs, to get to 157. Exercise 30 minutes/day. Go to bed earlier. Diary food and exercise daily -- yes, even on weekends. Drink 2 caraffes of water/day. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

I'd like to join you! Name/ real name: Cando055/Eileen Goal weight on February 29th: 157 lbs 2/01: 164.8 2/06: 2/13: 2/20: 2/27: 2/29:

Ivy, great idea! I'll join you. The groups feature on MFP is relatively new -- I've been in some that seem to fizzle out pretty quickly. Hope this is successful. 1) Eileen 2) 161 3) 145 by the end of March 4) To be strong and fit for a 5-day bike trip (Pittsburgh to DC) with my daughter in June. 5) I'm a 56-year old…

I'd like to join this group for the January posts. I'm 56 years old (wow, it's hard to write that!), married with two children who should graduate from college this spring (one is working full-time, with a few credits to finish this semester). Empty nester, full-time worker. Developed a lot of bad habits over 24 years of…

I'm interested. Please let me know how to join you.

Gossipgirl, I don't know if you've reached your 20-person cut-off yet, but if not, I'd love to join you. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Just started back to MFP after a depressing weight gain during a recent vacation. I'm 56-years old, work full-time, and am trying to figure out how to exercise with a broken…

I gained this week. Was doing great during the week, but weekends out of town are really a challenge. Now I now where to focus my efforts. 152.6 CW.
-
Thanks, Ailene, for organizing this! I need commitment and support. SW 152.6 GW 142.0 (10.6 lbs) Plan: Prepare a weekly fitness/eating plan. Track every day.
-
Perfect! I'll weigh in Monday and report.
-
Does drinking that much water really help? Do you know why?
-
This is perfect! I just got a new fitness journal and plan to start tracking my stats on Monday. Also plan to set reasonable goals, and 3 months is a great time frame. Good timing. Thanks!
-
Palo, your "clean eating" promise is really motivating. I'm going to do the same.
-
This is the challenge where I'm going to see some progress! Did a great interval workout on the elliptical at the gym this morning, followed by a lovely walk with my dog in this gorgeous weather. Feels so good.
-
Stayed even this week, which is okay since I was traveling. Back on track today. Working with a trainer who keeps me on my toes.
-
Sorry to disappear on you, Lisa. Been traveling. Second half of TEAM BLUE: no loss, no gain this week. Hoping for better in the week to come.
-
Margie, love the red, white and blue motif! And Leela, you've been such an inspiration. Just hang in there.
-
Team BLUE. Down .8, for .51% loss. Cando
-
Robin, thanks. Okay, if everyone agrees, then we should each calculate our own % of weight lost (unless you just want to stick with lbs) -- individually or by team, so the organizers don't have to do all that work. BTW, how do you get those little fruit symbols? Wonder if there's one for blue? Team Blue
-
Okay, stupid question, but if Nika or Andrea can post the formula for figuring percentage of weight lost (sorry, math was never my strong suit), the Blue Team can do that math for you when posting our weekly weight. Go Blue!
-
151.6 this morning, down .8. I'll take it!
-
I'm in once again. CW 152.4 GW 148 Also looking to see the 140's.
-
Well, I ended just where I started, 152.4, but I'm working with a trainer at the gym and feeling positive about other life changes. Count me in for the next challenge, and thanks, Margie, for keeping this going.
-
Thanks, Nika and Andrea, for organzing this. Amazing list of colors you've chosen! Lisa and I (Blue) are off and running.
-
Very excited about this challenge! Now will send a shout-out to my partner.
-
Fantastic! I need all the help I can get. Please count me in.
