  • Since I started exercising, I've been unable to donate blood. I've tried 4 times and have come in just under the iron level every time. I eat plenty of iron and iron absorbing foods now and eat much healthier so I was amazed that suddenly my iron levels have been too low. I'd been able to donate when I was a couch potato…
  • Watch the video...it takes place in a gym. I have this song played 3 times in my 10k playlist at strategic times (like when I normally need a push). Its an amazingly motivating song!
  • couch 2 5k is a wonderful program!! Don't worry about your speed, you're lapping everyone on the couch :)
  • YAY thanks! Somehow my dvd went missing and I've been putting off buying another one. I agree, start with 30 day shred, it is hard and will get you results
  • Thank you for this! My BMR is 1364 and TDE is 1831...so I figure I should stay in the 1600/day range, which is what I aim for. Gotta lose these 5 pounds I gained on my cruise in August :-/
  • Deep Dish Cookie Pie: http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/05/31/deep-dish-cookie-pie/ (its made with garbanzo beans, oats, applesauce, etc instead of flour, butter...) about 200 calories per slice.
  • LOL I actually bought a fake ring (for $9.99!) so that I wouldn't lose my real one before I got it resized. I have to do that soon...I wanted to wait til I was done losing. I'm done losing, just haven't gone to the jeweler yet.
  • Definitely set your incline on your treadmill to 1 or 1.5. When you're on a treadmill its forcing you to move...outside you have to force yourself. Its much harder on the body (IMO) to run outside, BUT much easier on the mind. On a treadmill I'm bored after 10-15 minutes. Outside I've gone as far as 65 minutes.
  • I've got this set and love it for days that I don't go to the gym and want something fast! http://www.amazon.com/The-Biggest-Winner-Complete-Maximize/dp/B000BT99CK its old school Jillian. The kickboxing one is my favorite. You need a step & weights for this set.
  • So. Much. FUN!!!! I am somewhere in this crowd--this was done every 10 minutes or so for several hours. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUPKwLwZ9s0&list=UU0W6C9pOxTMYnXSEP7FG58w&index=9&feature=plcp Wear sunglasses (Color Me Rad gives them out). I didn't wear anything over my mouth, but I did keep it shut when running…
  • I get up, drink a 20 ounce glass of water, have a banana and then make the rest of my breakfast. I've eaten the banana within 10 minutes of being awake and the rest of breakfast within the next 5-10 minutes.
  • If you want to increase speed, try sprint intervals. But I think you should get up to 3.2 miles of running before you try and increase your speed. Sprint intervals are running fast for a short distance and then regular pace... When I do mine I do 60 seconds at my normal pace and 60-90 seconds at a faster pace. For me, its…
  • Buy a Jillian DVD...30 day shred is a great one. This website has challenges you can do that I've enjoyed: pushups, tricep dips, situps, squats http://hundredpushups.com/ good luck!
  • I went from 210 in January 2010 to 130 now. When I was 210 I had no idea I was that big until I saw myself in pictures and even then, I couldn't believe it. Now that I'm 130, I don't believe it until I see myself in pictures again. Even in the mirror I see myself at around 160 (which is what I pictured myself at 210). It…
  • Lose some of the baggage I came home with from a delicious cruise
  • If I'm hungry, I eat because my body needs it. I work out a lot and some days I am just hungry all day long and so I try and eat...eggs, yogurt, fruit, cottage cheese, nuts, seeds, etc.
  • http://allrecipes.com/recipe/scrambled-egg-muffins/ make a batch and freeze them for an easy breakfast...they just have to be thawed & heated in the morning, takes 30 seconds. Add your own toppings, you dont have to use what the recipe says. I use broccoli, spinach, 2% cheddar, ham
  • Hilarious! I don't own mom jeans, nor the dreaded grandma jeans!
  • 38DD down to a 34C after dropping 80 pounds...very saggy now, but whatever, lol.
  • LOVE this: http://www.amazon.com/SPIbelt-Small-Personal-Great-Runners/dp/B006L65UWU Holds my keys, cell phone and ipod and it doesn't bounce or move around.
  • Honey, peanut butter, bananas, blueberries, craisins/raisins. I also add flax seed and it gives a nutty flavor
  • My kids love it sprinkled with pumpkin pie seasoning! I use it as a salad dressing, sometimes. or with sunflower seeds added
  • My FAVORITE condiment to put on just about anything, including salad is Goya Recaito...find it in the International food aisle.
  • Not to gain 10 pounds on my cruise....and workout at least every other day on that cruise.
  • You all can do it! I graduated in August 2010 after never running before in my life! I just ran 10k the other day for the first time. I know you can all do it and you'll feel incredible when you're done! Good luck & congrats!
  • BMI: 23 You have a lower BMI than 84% of females aged 30-44 in your country. You have a lower BMI than 55% of females aged 30-44 in the world. If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 6,227,635 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population thanks, that was pretty interesting!
  • If you're working out 5-6 days a week and feel hungry you are not getting enough fuel. Your body is holding onto whatever it can. you might have to eat the calories you burn. Thats what I have to do in order to lose, otherwise I gain. Try eating back half the calories you are burning and see if that helps. Your body needs…
  • FANTASTIC! Congratulations!!
