The more I'm squatting, the stronger my knees are getting and the less crunchy they are. Mine have been cracking & crunching since I was 10 years old and its not til now, almost 40, that they seem healthier and stronger :) I also take glucosamine/chondroiton with msm and tumeric

Quinoa!!! Its high in protein and can be used in SO MANY WAYS. Add it to a regular garden salad, make a salad out of it adding balsamic, avocado, edamame (another high protein food), use it as a side dish, eat it in the morning in addition or instead of oatmeal, make baked quinoa bites (pinterest!) for handy snacks.…

I kept one pair of my fattest pants as my reminder/comparison...I can now fit both of my legs into one leg of those pants. The rest I donated to Savers. If I keep them, its an excuse to say "well, if I gain, I have clothes to fit into". When my now clothes start getting tight, I know its time to get my butt back in gear.

I love it in soup in place of pasta. Its good as a quinoa salad with balsamic vinegar, avocado, roasted peppers, edamame, asparagus I've made it as a dessert too...make quinoa with cinnamon in the water. When its cool, add whipped cream or cool whip. bananas, peaches, blueberries, etc and honey. So good.

Avocado, edamame, some feta cheese & balsamic vinegar. SO GOOD. I use it in place of pastina in soup now too.

Tandoori chicken is marinated in yogurt and doesn't have heavy sauces. I'm going for Indian tomorrow and theres a lunch buffet that I can't wait to indulge in! :)

I'm having issues myself and the mirena is the only thing in my life that has changed. I got my 2nd one put in in March'ish of this year. I was 132 pounds after losing 78 and maintaining that loss for over 2 years. In July of this year I started noticing a change in my body and now, as of today, I have gained 13+ pounds…

We adopted a dog at the end of 2011. TWO DAYS after we got him he was rushed to the doggie ER where he was diagnosed with parvo virus. He was vomiting, had horrible diarrhea and couldn't even hold his head up. His white blood cell count was extremely low and the doctors gave him less than a 30% chance of survival. Remember…

Thats terrible. If people would just be nice instead of going out of their way to be nasty, the world would be such a better place. When I see people running I always think to myself "you go girl/boy" - yesterday I was out for a hilly run and someone yelled across the street to me "RUN GIRL RUN" and it was awesome - there…

"no more, you're getting too skinny" (my bmi is borderline normal/overweight still) "i'm worried you're not eating" (I EAT!) "what supplements are you taking?" / "what do you mean you didn't take anything? Then how did you do it by yourself?" "you're obsessed" After telling a small group at a holiday party that I'd gained…

Ouch yes, I have. Wrap it up (I used an ace bandage instead of buying $$ compression socks/sleeves). Upper body cardio--think the punching parts of kickboxing. I was also able to do elliptical since it didn't put pressure on my calf and some stationary bike. Be careful. Mine healed with rest, ice, compression in about 2…

I've been running for 3 years and training for my first half marathon now. I am using hal higdon novice 2 and really like it. Its a lot more dedication to running than i anticipated though and I spend a lot of time mentally preparing for the long run. Its more intense in a mental aspect (for me anyway) than I thought it…

The play kitchen was the best thing I ever bought my 2 boys. They're 5 & 7 now and have had it for 4 years and its one of the few things that is still played with frequently. I got the cheapest one..it was like $30 and still is holding up strong. Little Tikes does have a grill also, like you said. My husband and I would…

My HRM also is always much higher than MFP gives me. My typical burn for an hour of zumba is about 550 on my HRM and on MFP its less than 300. Today I did a 90 minute zumba/kickboxing class and MFP gave me 445 calories burned and my HRM was about 850.
