  • Heh... thanks man. It's the beard, I know. It has powers not even I can understand. Actually, I'm full of *&%^. Once I'm down to a weight where the double chin is gone, the beard goes with it.
  • Wasn't my comment.... Regardless, yes, there are people debating(so far) and disagreeing inside this thread itself. My point is that the person that started this thread seems to be trolling... beating the dead horse... whatever you want to call it... by starting a thread that's been beat to death, over and over on these…
  • I asked this same question before, and didn't get an answer I could understand... so I've decided to start believing that it's the tooth fairies brother. I call him the fat fairy.
  • I swear, you'd think this was a religious forum the way everyone tries to push their agenda and beliefs onto other people. Seriously, just replace a few words here and there, and you have the same zealotry as on any christian, atheist, muslim, etc... forum. Is whole food better? I don't know, and can't tell you. It seems…
  • Ahhh... sorry guys, didn't realize anyone had responded in here. Thanks for the tips.
  • I can't stand sleeping under covers at night. I fall asleep on top of the covers.... the good thing is I only have to tighten up the comforter now and then, and not make my bed every day.
  • On a side note, if anyone has a Gold's Gym membership, and works out on the one at MacArthur, and I believe Valley View... drop me a line. I want to use free weights, but I'm not the type that feels comfortable just going up to a complete stranger, and asking for a spot.
  • Thanks for the answers, I had not thought of most of the things you guys had said. Of course, i doubt breast feeding is causing me to lose any weight overnight... but science can do some incredible things nowadays, so who am I to say?
  • http://sportsci.org/encyc/heataccl/heataccl.html There you go... trusty old google  Guess the correct term is "Heat Acclimatization"
  • I had the same issue when I started running in the ARMY. (years, and years, and pounds ago) I remember it took a while for your body to get "acclimatized" as our drill sergeants called it to the climate of the area your'e in. It did go away after 4 weeks or so, and I was able to run with no issues. May just have to push…
  • You're welcome. I figured it would be a lot more informative than just a short article about tummy tucks. I'll be getting it done when I'm finally at the weight I want to be at the rest of my life. Thank God I don't have as much extra skin in front as the posters in that thread do, so I wont' have to do the full 360…
  • I deem this post: doubleplusgood
  • That's classic man... when a woman is cheating on you, she over reacts when you confront her about it. Happened to me too, but i was so in love that I convinced myself that I was in the wrong. Now as an outsider looking in, I can't believe how dumb I was. She has a lot more going on with that guy than what she says man.…
  • Thank you! Everyone has a different definition of what is good, and what is bad for you. Anyways, I'm not pushing the d@mn Twinkie diet. The point is, is you go off your diet and eat junk food, it's not the friggin end of the world.
  • "Haub's "bad" cholesterol, or LDL, dropped 20 percent and his "good" cholesterol, or HDL, increased by 20 percent. He reduced the level of triglycerides, which are a form of fat, by 39 percent. "That's where the head scratching comes," Haub said. "What does that mean? Does that mean I'm healthier? Or does it mean how we…
  • Heh... honestly, I don't even like twinkies, but I'm so glad that you got that last little barb off, so you could let me know just how much better of a person you are than me.
  • My biggest issue with a lot of people that are in the diet community is how they come down on people that aren't eating "clean" or whatever you want to call it. Also, how people on here even, will give someone else that's losing weight grief because they're eating processed foods, and it just isn't up to their standards.…
  • Did you even read the article? In addition to the weight loss, his health improved.
  • A junk food diet would be the most sustainable diet in the world. The point of the "Twinkie diet" is that despite all the talk to the contrary, it actually does come down to calories in / calories out.
  • I'm gonna have to go ahead and beg to differ with a lot of you. Take a look at this: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html That's a Nutrition professor that did this experiment. Gotta stop listening to the pseudo scientists, and the people trying to sell you stuff folks. FAKE EDIT: Go…
  • You're welcome. That forum is what led me here. The topic caught my attention, because I have a feeling I'm gonna have some extra skin issues to deal with when I get to where I wanna be.
  • http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3486615 Check that thread out. The girl that did the tummy tuck, literally just got it done a week ago. Probably don't want to look at it at work, there are some pic's she took of the after surgery that might make the uptight folks complain.
  • I did at first. I'm at the point now though, where I'm able to keep it up 24-7. I just put myself in the mindset that I'm restricting calories now, but when I get to where I want to be, and am just maintaining my weight, I'll be able to eat more calories then, so it gives me something to look forward to. Of course, I'll…
  • I'm 34. For the lard... i'm hoping the cardio I'm doing every morning before work is taking care of that. I walk 4 miles every morning when I get up, then come home and get ready for work. That's why I'm doing the weight lifting in the evening. I'm hoping I can stick to it better by splitting it up, instead of doing a…
  • Wellbert, Thank you! Looking at those websites right now. A big help. Lauren, thanks also. I just looked at the page for the Jefit ap, and it looks like something I could actually use. Never heard of it before, but definitely going to put it on my phone.
  • To be honest, I really don't think it matters if you're eating too few calories when you're on the weight loss portion of your diet. My days are usually spent eating fewer than the 1345 calories I'm supposed to be eating daily according to this site. I could force myself to eat I suppose, but I don't want that to become a…
  • I live right on the border of Coppell and Irving. On MacArthur... literally as soon as you exit the drive of my apartments the "Welcome to Coppell" sign is there.
  • In addition to what the other folks have said, you might want to go to a store with a sewing department, and grab a measuring tape. The cloth ones that are I believe 60 inches long or so. Start putting the measurements for neck, waist, and hips in the weigh in area. You may discover you are losing inches, but keeping…
  • I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in March. I asked the doctor what caused it, and he told me that it could be just that I'm getting older, and my thyroid is slowing down. He didn't really have an answer for me. I was put on the levoproxin that month, and didn't change anything about diet, excercise, etc... I went back…
