  • This might be TMI, but I really go by how my undies fit. When the straps aren't digging into me so much, I'm happier :)
  • Hi everybody! I'm 27 and have two beautiful daughters. I'm working to lose 11lbs that I've gained over the past 2 years (emotional eating, sigh). Add me, add me! I'm always in need of likeminded friends.
  • He kept asking me to shave my back. :s
  • Sometimes I am really, really mean to myself. I think horrible, angry things to make myself feel like crap in the hope that the guilt will keep me striving toward my goal. It's a disgusting habit.

  • Sorry I'm starting this so late, I just found this fantastic group! My weigh days are going to be bit different, too, since I weigh on Sunday mornings. • I find that the majority of the time, if it's late (after dinner) and I'm hungry? It's because I'm dehydrated. I hydrate really well at work, but it pretty much stops the second I get home. :embarassed: A terrible habit, I know. But drinking a big glass of water usually helps me stop myself from diving into a carton of ice…
  • When my family's pediatrician pointed out the my 5 year-old daughter's BMI had been consistently increasing over the last 2 years. She's not overweight, but is in the top percentile for height and weight in her age group. The doctor recommended that I try to reduce her sugar intake (juice, sweets, soda, etc) and I started…

  • This is embarrassing....I use my vacation time. I'm raising two girls on my own, my commute is 60 minutes round trip, and most times after I get home, make dinner, clean up the house, do laundry, bathe the children, read bedtime stories, and finally get them to bed, I'm too exhausted to do anything other than lay…
  • When I realized that I had less than a year until my husband comes home, and I want to be in the best shape of my life by the time that happens :)
  • I did not adjust my GW after finding that I am small-framed. (5 ft 5, wrists 6 inches). I guess my CW (132) is 2lbs above the*ideal* maximum for my height and frame, but my first goal is 128 and UGW at the moment is 125, so I feel like those are appropriate.
  • My first goal is 128 (currently 133) and after that I think I'll reassess - but I'd really love to hit 120,
  • 5'5 :) HW: 165 (post-baby #2) LW: 125 (about 15 months ago) CW: 133 (+8lbs due to depression, apathy, and Sons of Anarchy) GW: 128 UGW: 120 Upper thigh measurement is 23" which is a bummer, since I completed Couch-To5k and all I have to show for it is an extra inch on my gams :explode:
  • ^ I'd like to respectfully point out the difference between foot size and bone size.
  • 5ft5, 133lbs, 26 inch waist.
  • You have a really good point, but I think it's important to remember that we all have different goals and ideals of beauty. As long as her goal weight ends at a healthy BMI and her methods are safe and healthy, I don't see why she shouldn't aim for a body shape that makes her happy. (kudos for loving your curves! Thick…
  • It's *especially* difficult to make positive changes when you're going through big changes in other aspects of your life! I applaud you for owning it.
  • At your height, your goal weight seems very reasonable. I think that 15 pounds in the space of about 3 months is a very reasonable goal - ambitious, yes, but reasonable. 6 cardio sessions a week is also reasonable, though I would look into possibly replacing one of those sessions with an alternate exercise of your…
  • There are a lot of things that are within my control (weight, muscle mass, waist size, toning, teeth) that are entirely within my control, and so I'm not going to list those - I'm changing them as we speak. BUT - my stretch marks suck (two children). I'm not a fan of my Italian/German nose, and some perkier bazoombahs…
  • I've been following the program and running 3x/week (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday) and trying to get in a yoga session once a week, though I haven't been terribly consistent :\ Once I finish, I fully intend to continue running three times a week, plus cross-training as much as possible. I'm a single mom of two with a…
  • I've been trying to mix it up a little, so I run 2x/week on a treadmill and 1x/week outside. It's nice to have the change in scenery to keep me engaged. Treadmill Day 1 I watch TV (which I never do, so it's thoroughly enthralling...even if it's just some crap reality show). Treadmill Day 2 I listen to music. On my outside…
  • W4D3 is tomorrow - and I'm getting my jogging stroller in the mail today, woohoo! Taking the wee one with me is going to make this a helluva lot easier. Am I the only one who has made it this far in the program without any weight loss or change in measurements? :P
