I will be 40 in May :noway: Please feel free to add me!

I was wondering the same thing!

I have sat here and read every posting in this thread. I too have PCOS, I was diagnosed over 20 years ago. I am very well, self educated on the subject. As for insulin resistance, not everyone with PCOS has insulin resistance. I, in fact am just the opposite, my sugar levels run too low. While I was pregnant, I was told to…

Hello All!!! I am cruising on the same ship as a lot of you. I have over 100 pounds to lose....in which I do in smaller increments, to make it seem so much more achievable. My husband and doctor are the only 2 people that know just how committed and serious at losing the weight that I am. Please, anyone, feel free to add…

I weigh and measure everything. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to be a bit obsessive about that. I have to agree, MFP does seem to be overestimating quite a bit.
-
I swim laps quite frequently with circuit training. I put in the time I did, and that is the "calories burned" that MFP gives me. I take it with a grain of salt, that is why I never eat back all my exercise calories.

My diary is open, now. I have a 4 year old that gets most of my attention throughout the day, therefore, I do get on much a couple of times a day. I appreciate the advice, critical and all.

I guess what I mean by the negative is, my net calories for the day as of right now, with my dinner already put in, is -301. That is way too low. That I know. I do a lot of swimming as my main form of exercise. In all honesty, I am not hungry enough to eat that many calories.

Could not agree more!! I will no longer buy ice cream in larger quantities. I would rather spend a little extra on eating it out somewhere. McDonald's is only 150 calories per cone...ditch the cone, only about 100. If you feel the need to have it in your freezer, buy it by the pint instead, or better yet, most grocery…

39...feel free to add me!

I use swimming as my chosen form of exercise. To me, it does not even feel like exercise. It is just really relaxing. I do it in the evening, then by the time that I get home, I am so relaxed and ready for bed. I do add weight training in about 3 days a week. But, I even follow that up with at least 30 minutes of swimming.…

I am not religious myself, but I do usually participate in Lent. I do it for the health of it. This year I will be giving up bad carbs all together as well as artificial sweeteners. I usually stick it out and do pretty well.
-
I could always use new friends! I have at least 100 lbs. to go.
-
I too try to stick to 1200 calories on non-exercise days, eating around 1400 calories on other days. I eat a lower carb style, staying under 70 carbs a day. Cannot live without apples....therefore I am not restricting myself to 30 carbs or less. I am always open to new "friends." Feel free to add me!!

Your story hits home quite a bit. My older brother was born with kidney disease as well. From birth on he went through many, many surgical procedures. When I look back, I mostly remember visiting him the hospital. As we grew up, we became quite close. He started dialysis when I was 11 years old and he was 17. It was that…

You are awesome!!!

I think maybe....32. Please forgive me if I am wrong in the worse way!
-
I have the same problem. I am a SAHM to a 3 year old boy. I find after 1 pm, I will catch myself grazing or eating my sons leftovers. I wish that I could figure out the "magic remedy" to stop this madness!!!

My eyes....my feet and my hands.

I can always use new supporters....I am pretty good at returning the support as well! Feel free to add me!!
-
My eyes...followed up with the comment, "Are they real?"
-
I feel like I know you all so personally. I too have PCOS and the only thing that works for me is low carbing it! Please feel free to add me...I would love to have supporters and be a supporter to other ladies who know exactly what I am going through.

I too follow low carb and low calorie. I eat a lot of lean meats, chicken, turkey. Almonds and tons of veggies!! My fave is tuna salad on cucumber slices!

Being from Baltimore (now living in VA), I am loyal to the Raven's....but, we are longtime 49ers fans!! So either way, it is a win win situation!!

I have the same problems. I seem to act as though anything consumed on the weekend does not count!!

You can always do stairclimbing. If you live in an apartment....walk the stairs for 10-15 minute increments. Hey, it's free! I also found that exercising while watching a favorite show....sometimes will hinder your workout. Some, myself included, have tendency to slow down while focusing more on the television than the…

I too have depression. I know from personal experience that there is nothing that you can say or do that is going to "make" him start focusing on his physical health. In all honesty, that is the least of his worries. He needs to focus on his mental health first and foremost. As I have said, I know personally. Not only…

Before styaing home to raise my son, I was a Dermatology nurse. We would always recommend baby wash! It is very sensitive and does not irritate or burn your eyes. I use it everyday! Proactiv is something that we would tell our patients to avoid....Unless of course you like cleaning your skin with peroxide! Cetaphil works…

I am with you all in this one!! I am a good supporter and love having others hold me accountable!!
