I don't know if someone's beat me to this or not yet, but the Tyson Grilled and Ready Chicken Fillets and something like the Green Giant Broccoli Spears. The chicken does have a bit of sodium, but super easy. You can add sauces to the chicken to vary it up. We've tried barbecue and mongolian and honey mustard with success.…

You really don't need to worry. MFP is taking the weight you gave it, and combining it with the activity level you specified and actually saying 1820 is what it would take for you to maintain your weight, then subtracting 500 per day to equal a 1lb loss (since 1lb = approximately 3500 Calories.) so if you entered a correct…

A lot that I've read says not to go under 1200, and I tend to agree with that minimum. For one: Listen to your body. If you feel unwell at a certain Calorie number you may be eating too few. If your BMR is 1700 and you eat 1200 and don't work out you should lose 1 lb a week. If you're doing P90 on top of that you'll be…

Interested! What would the challenge be specifically? Just most lbs dropped? Fitness goals?

I'm not going to "advise" this, but I am going to put it out there for you to consider: cold turkey. If you get headaches and other withdrawal symptoms each time you cut back would you rather have 3 days (even 2 weeks) of that or months of a lesser, but still there version of it?Then if you want to add *some* back in over…

Oh yeah, not cutting them out entirely. But we'd fallen in a rut of eating a protein w/ either rice, potatoes, or pasta and maybe a veggie (or not) for a meal to feel "complete." My sister-in-law once described our holiday meal together as "no carb left behind" so I'm definitely not in the cutting them out entirely camp, I…

Thank you all so much! :-)

Sounds fun! :-)

This week was good for cardio! I did a wii fitness thing (boxercise, latin dance, hip hop & aerobics) for 328 minutes. And a little bit of walking but my main workouts were with the wii. :-) How about everyone else?

Do you have a video game system? I've liked some of the games for Wii. (Some I've tried: Exerbeat, EA Active 2. The EA one is probably harder on the knees to start, but incorporates more strength training. Exerbeat has different kinds of dancing but more aerobics class style than just dancing. It's the one I play the most.…

Hang in there, Melissa. Even if you've been exercising a lot a new routine like that can be very hard. On the up side that means those kind of things usually get a bit easier with time if you did want to go back. Regardless, great job sticking it out and going in the first place, and even more for not letting it get you…

180 minutes of cardio? Okay, let me finally try a challenge! :-) I should totally be able to knock this out! :-D

Haha, I tried that today and then weighed again breathing normally and the breathing weight was .2 lower than the exhaled weight! Silly stuff but it made me smile.

For me the doing multiple elastics works better than braiding and it's quicker too. I know it didn't work for the OP, but maybe it would for you? I do a small pony tail at the top of my head since around my face it's most likely to pull free, another "halfsie" pony tail, one at the nape of my neck, and another one or two…

Thanks Lissa! I like that you do the challenges by minutes and distance. How fun! Hope to join in this coming week!

Congrats!!! And stand up paddle boards look so cool! I've been tempted to try it with a rental, but I think I've got a ways to go.

Hello! I just joined MFP yesterday and since hubby and I would love to have a baby and I seriously need to lose weight (I have a little over 100 lbs to get to a healthy range) I thought this would be a good place to join. I've pretty much been overweight my entire adult life and I've successfully lose weight before but not…
