  • Got both my Bachelors and Masters from U of M - Flint.
  • Go Wings. We had our funk but are coming out of it, along with all our injured players. Love this game, and love playoff time!
  • So what if Zimmerman got out of the car and pursued when he was told not to. That doesn't mean he couldn't have done it in self defense. Maybe he shouldn't have gone, but that doesn't automatically make him guilty. I don't know enough to make a decision. I know that this happened a few weeks ago and didn't get much…
  • I just want to know how they keep their "uniform" in place when getting tackled?
  • Go to the thrift stores. I've found some great clothes there. I hope to lose another size or so but my old pants just couldn't cut it any longer so I got some new stuff there. We have several thrift stores around my house so I had a lot to choose from.
  • On the salad. As long as you aren't wanting something heavy, lemonjuice adds some tang to it and is pretty light. Goes well with cold chicken breast cut up on salad as well.
  • Try lemon juice.
  • I think the mind is a beautiful thing that we don't even have a glimpse of what it's capable of.
  • They've handed out the penalties to the Saints, http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7718136/sean-payton-new-orleans-saints-banned-one-year-bounties.
  • Yes, if a parent dies before his or her dependents reach the age of 18 then social security benefits are paid to the child. If you look at your statements from SS it will tell you how much your children or spouse will receive in the event of your death.
  • Believe it or not, the public forum might not be the best place for healthy debate around here.
  • It seems both sides think one is attacking the other. Maybe it could have been presented differently to get a less defensive reaction.
  • Simmer down, I was merely pointing out that if you don't like the opposition, take it to a safe place.
  • Isn't this a fantastic reason why we have groups? Why not post this in a vegetarian group...unless it's to try to convince people who eat meat that they shouldn't?
  • It's disgusting! For the record, I don't think it's ok for a doctor to ever lie to a patient, or withhold information...EVER! It's not their life or right to deny that to the person whose life and family are what it's all about.
  • So what you are saying is you don't believe the accusations being put forth about these bounties? The ones where intent to injure are a part of the payout.
  • This whole bounty thing in question - the reason for the thread - is because it has an intent to injure. These guys are getting paid to have a guy carted off the field. That is intent to injure, beyond the scope of the game. Sure, no one wants to see people breaking their necks in the game, and it does happen. But when a…
  • I think you missed the point. I guess the question is intent. Yes, it's a rough sport and injuries will happen. But when guys are taking dirty shots with THE INTENT TO INJURE then that is not ok. I'm not sure how anyone can condone that. Just think of the other teams doing that to your team - you wouldn't be happy and…
  • This^^^ It's a physical, rough sport - sure. That doesn't mean that intent to injure needs to be anywhere, in any sport. Injuries happen, yes, and THAT is what is part of the game. Intentionally hitting people with the intent to get them carted off the field and possibly end their career has no place in sports or life.
  • Yes, that is wrong, especially at a high school level. There is so much research being done on head injuries now and their long-term effect that officials and higher-ups are trying to create ways to penalize or avoid these types of things from happening. In today's world, when you incentivize someone to crash head's it is…
  • I have to take a little bit of issue with this. Just because that guy across from you in the ER was there for pills doesn't mean he's any less of a person. Drug addiction is a horrible, horrible disease. Sure, there are a lot of people who make the choices that end them up being an addict, but that doesn't mean that at…
  • I am pro-choice and opted not to have those tests that would have told me if my twins had issues. Unless an u/s showed me a major issue I wouldn't have known about it to make that choice.
  • Not all just do it. And, that's your opinion, you have every right to think any person is sick. I tend to not judge those people and let them have their choice to do what is best for them.
  • Hypothetical situations aren't really good to judge what someone would do...I would never know unless presented with that situation. I have a friend who was told multiple times during her pregnancy that she should abort. However, they never could give her a good indication of what was wrong with the child, just that…
  • Huh? I think most people who are of the "non-faith" group have questioned their beliefs and their loyalties...that is what drove them to where they are. Of course there are some non-believers who started out as non-believers, but I'd say the majority have come from religious backgrounds. And why single out "anyone with…
  • Agreed, it's your day, your choice. Don't pay attention to those that feel the decision is about them, at the same time don't be offended by those that won't come because of the 'no kid clause'. I got married in Vegas and some of my family had an issue with this...it was my day and my choice. They didn't come nor call on…
  • There are risks with most anything, including having a lot of children. Heck, I was considered "high-risk" simply for having two babies at once.
  • http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/11/health/policy/obama-to-offer-accommodation-on-birth-control-rule-officials-say.html?hp It looks like he's trying to make it so employees can have coverage if their religious employer decides they don't want to provide it.
