I trained for a half marathon on the treadmill because I could not get outside. Was able to finish that half with a decent time of 2:18 even with being sick for the two weeks prior. If you're asking if it'll burn calories, yes it will. If you're asking if you can be a decent runner for racing, yes you can. If you're…

It's very hard at first if you've not done much that dealt with weights. It's new, it's different. Each time you press play though it gets a little bit easier. Mind you, if it's too easy, might need to adjust. Add more weights or do more reps. You are supposed to feel it. Don't try to keep up with the guys on the video. Do…

For me, running. I run how hard and long I want, and I enjoy it.

I don't have an idol, but I am inspired by my friend who trained for and finished an Ironman triathlon all before her 2nd child turned a year old! That's amazing. I have a few friends who've done something huge like this just after having children and that always inspires me.

I use sunscreen and I moisturize well to take care of my skin. If I forget my sunscreen, I take the run inside. The sun is unforgiving here. Neutrogena has sunscreen made for the face and I use number 55. I think it goes higher. I know they have regular sunscreen for the body that does. Because I sweat bad and it can make…

Great looking meals, HS!

Amazing!! Great job. Can totally see the progress! I'm totally inspired. :)

Yes. I do my P90X stuff on my low miles days so I'm not too tired for it. I'm not looking to get jacked, just stronger. Running is priority. Currently training for a 1/2 next month and then a full marathon in March of 2013 so lots of running ATM.

20-30 training for some races coming up shortly. I'm a long time runner, but I've had years where I've only run maybe 3-15 miles per week because of life or just because I didn't feel like it, or I'm busy soccer training.

Running for me physically hurts till about the 3.5 mile mark as I work out the kinks in the joints and warm up the muscles, but after that the endorphins kick in and I'm gold. I enjoy the run from then on. This is whether it's a training run or the race itself. At the moment, I'm doing a lot of hills and even though I'm in…

SCREW THEM! When that crap happens think of all the wonderful things people have said about and to you. Remember what you love about yourself. You are not the jerk who was insulting. Right there you win. Do not let this slow your roll.

^^^ yummy stuff up there!

I cheat and use a bottled marinade! Either Italian dressing, Lawry's or Jack Daniel's mesquite. I marinade the meat, which might be labeled as skirt steak, for at least 3 hours then broil it in a broiler pan in the broiler or BBQ if I have time! Easy peasy!

I don't do the music thing when I run, but when they play "Let Bodies Hit The Floor" by Drowning Pool at the gym, I have to kick up the speed to match my heart rate. That song makes me feel like someone's chasing me, lol! Not a bad thing. Quite motivating, for sure!

Sounds like a good thing if losing weight and looking fab are my only goals. My hobbies need me to be cardio fit too though. I do a little big of strength training as a supplement to my cardio training, which has helped with my overall efficiency.

When I decided to run my first and only marathon, so far, I was at my heaviest after coming off of a knee injury. I was at 150 lbs (a lot for my 5'1" frame) starting from zero cardio fitness. Hadn't moved much while recovering. I did slowly lose 12 lbs while training, but was still a hair "obese" according to my BMI, come…

Running more than 20 miles a week is more than health benefits for me. In this age of instant gratification and interaction being more through the computer than irl, for me often anyway, getting outside and running as long and hard as I can is a reminder of humanness, my mortality. I'm nowhere near fit enough for anything…

Lungs and legs after a full soccer field sprint.

Bummer on the fries! I'm not super strict so I'm ok with it. That sauce is a jalapeño pepper sauce. So good! I do love salsa verde too though. Yum!

A not so comfy 4 mile run. Calves were tight from yesterday's plyos.

Look delish to me!
