Pregnancy is about survival. Not all of them are so comfortable that you can work out and eat right. You simply have to focus getting through it, and just get back at it when it's all done. My 2nd pregnancy was inactive and I ate like crap. I was able to get back quickly afterwards with goals set up and just feeling so…

Cardio.

Slow start this month. Lots of biking going on.

You can get a great elliptical workout. It's up to you! The fast you go the harder your heart works, which is the goal. Getting that heart rate up. People can be such party poopers. If you're feeling it, you're working it. :)

I'm an endurance fanatic with asthma. Make sure you have your albuterol pump with you. If it's exercise induced asthma, take a couple hits 15 minutes prior to taking off. When you are running, you should be breathing comfortably unless you are racing. If you're alone, a good test is being able to sing a song without…

Even when I'm training for a race, I only really feel stress on my runs during speed work, or pace runs which are usually only a couple times a week. The rest of my runs are usually at a comfortable pace, so I enjoy them immensely! I can't wait for that feeling of having sweat out the day's "toxins" and the accomplishment…

My coach schedules my rest day for Fridays when he knows I like to chill out with the family and wind down from the week. He likes us to have a day for our muscles to rest and rebuild.

Today is my rest day, woo hoo! HECK YEAH REST!

You could get a brace for your ankle and spin!

The outdoors is my gym and I get out 6-7 days a week for a variety of things.
-
I stopped squatting a week before.
-
It's 5/1 here and I got 4 miles in with my training buddies.

I enjoy playing sports and participating in races of all sorts, so yes. I make time for two-a-days if I'm training for a race, and I will go into a gym if I have to, to stay fit for my hobbies. I'm no gym junkie, but I deal. Losing weight is something I end up having to do when I'm injured and can't do my thing. That's why…

Hi, I'm Blanda. I've run for years to supplement my soccer training. I've just picked up running more for distance races and for triathlons in the last few years. I'm always aiming for 100 miles per month, but rarely hit it. Finding time to swim, bike, and run is hard when you have a family and work, can I get an amen?…
-
I'll aim for 100 miles for the month, again. I have to divide my time up between running, biking and swimming, so time will be my issue for hitting the goal. I'm also a wife, mom, and employee too. Not enough hours in a day!
-
Cool! I was wondering how I was so kindly invited to a running group. I'm currently at 90 miles for the month. I MIGHT be able to get 10 miles in tomorrow if I'm determined enough to get two runs in. It'd be one in the morning with my training buddies, and one alone in the afternoon. We'll see! Thanks for the invite to the…

I've been told not to let the knees go past the toes to avoid injury. You're saying that doing so will not hurt my knees? It'd be a good to know.
-
I did it just to do it. It actually helped strengthen my lower body quite a bit and it was evident in my soccer game, and cycling.
-
I have better success after I've warmed up the joints. I usually run or bike, but I think a little jump roping or the elliptical would help too. Yes, you gotta push that butt back like you're about to sit down in a chair, keep that back straight, chin up, make sure your knees don't go over your toes.

I love seeing my "friends" rocking their workouts, and meeting their goals.
-
That's awesome.
-
Knowing that I'm away from my family doing it. I can't feel good about leaving the house to workout unless I'm getting a quality workout.
-
I love all the cycling positivity! It's a great lower body strengthener, a lot of fun (if you ride safely, of course!), and paired with eating right, it's an awesome way to lose weight.

If your resting HR is 80-90, I imagine your active HR can get pretty high causing you to burn quite a bit, especially if you're holding that 176 for a long period of time. My resting is around 55-60 and I don't usually hit 170 unless I'm sprinting or hill climbing. My final calorie burn is always lower than MFP.

You talking about a Garmin FR220? I have the strap that's recommended for my Garmin 210 and it works just fine. It's a soft strap, pretty comfortable, no problems with readings. What are you looking for other than that in a HR monitor?
-
I would NOT want to swim after miles of running and biking. I'd most likely cramp up, and that's not safe. I imagine that's why.

He's just not ready. When he is I'm sure you'll be his best supporter. :)

Yes.
