I totally agree singfree. Trying to say NO TREATS period over the holidays is just setting yourself up for failure. Allowing yourself some in moderation, perhaps baking some that are a little healthier (lots of wonderful recipes on this site) and yes most importantly, keeping up the exercise. Those are really the keys to…

I would love to join! I have been looking for a thread that wasn't necessarily about weight loss, as I have reached my goal and am just trying to maintain. But we all know, we can't stop doing all the things we learned to do that helped us lose the weight in the first place. Especially during the holidays! My goals are: to…

"bump" will put the thread in someone's "my topics" so they can find it easier at a later date. I was confused at first too.

I still have my thyroid, but am on 50mcg of synthroid. I found out the hard way that soy definitely interferes with it. When I started avoiding it altogether, I felt much better. But you have to be careful. Soy is in most things processed. Although I have heard some people with thyroid issues that are on synthroid do fine…

Whole wheat sandwich thin, low sodium turkey breast, laughing cow wedge, tomato and red onion dipped in an egg white and s&p, sauted in a little bit of evoo. Yumo!

A must try for sure. Thanks!:flowerforyou:

I have done this also in the GF grill. Deelish! I've also taken the exact sandwich, scrambled an egg white in a bowl with a little s&p, coated the sandwich in it on both sides and then sauted it in a little bit of evoo in a skillet. It gives it a wonderful crispy texture without adding a lot of calories. Kinda like a monte…

Kat, I think a hand held mixer (which my mom calls a "beater) would work fine. You know they have the steel spiral looking things that come off so you can clean them?

I had tilapia last night. Not sure of the calorie count, but it can't be too bad?? I took a tilapia filet, wet it with milk (I used almond, but any milk would work), then dredge both sides in a flour (I used whole wheat), grill seasoning and s&p mixture. Saute in a pan with a little bit of olive oil, 4 minutes one side.…

Tammy and Steph, Have you had any problems with soy interfering with your thyroid med? I too am on synthroid, starting out with only 25 mcg as my level wasn't too bad. But then I started having a smoothie in the morning made with a cup of soy milk and whey protein that had soy in it and in a matter of days started to feel…
