My success with emotional eating/urges has been in Garcinia Cambogia. It takes time to rewire your brain. But each time gets easier until eventually you forget that you ever unnecessarily ate in the first place. Journal, sit with your emotions and they will pass. Geneen Roth's books are all great too.

There is an epidemic of undiagnosed thyroid conditions in the US! I also suggest Garcinia Cambogia if there is any emotional eating or large appetite involved.
