  • Lately, I've been listening to Run by LMFAO and Redfoo, Sweet Nothing by Calvin Harris, Thrift Shop by Macklemore, Trouble by Taylor Swift, and Va Va Voom by Nicki Minaj. That seems to get the job done! :-)
  • @lalalalala34 - Haha, that was my first thought - buy a new bikini!
  • I typically mix 1/4 cup quick-cook oats, a half scoop of vanilla protein powder, and some cinnamon together in a microwaveable mug/bowl. Then I add probably about a half cup water (should be pretty watery at this point), 1 egg white, and mix together well for about 20 seconds. Then I toss about 10…
  • I can't wait to get mine! Just ordered it this weekend after trying a sample packet I bought for $1 at a local health food store. Like many have already said, it doesn't taste EXACTLY like Skippy, Jif, or whatever name brand you're used to, but it's similar enough to be good (and even better if you add a little bit of…
  • Hi there! Here are some snack ideas that I tend to stick to: - Protein powder (usually 115 cal/scoop) - I add this to my oatmeal in the morning with a couple egg whites and some fruit (raspberries, strawberries, etc.) - Hard-boiled eggs (70 cal for whole egg, 20 for egg white only) - I add them to salads or eat them plain…
  • Snacks I keep on hand to up my protein intake include: - Protein powder - I add this to my oatmeal in the morning with a couple egg whites and some fruit (raspberries, strawberries, etc.) - Hard-boiled eggs - I add them to salads or eat them plain with some garlic salt - Carbmaster Yogurt - If you live near a Kroger,…
  • I have the same problem....I'm great all day at work, then come home and find myself binging, even though I eat regularly and healthily throughout the day. I'm going to try drinking tea - maybe a nice chai with skim milk...or a low-cal protein shake to curb my cravings.
  • Thanks so much for your reply! It's great to have your input as I try to figure whole thing out and even better to know that you and others are losing weight by eating more. I've since recalculated my totals, upping my intake, so hoping to see a difference after a few weeks! Thanks again!
  • Wow! That's awesome progress! You look great!
  • Hi there! I'm 24, 5'9", and current weight is ~159 lbs. My goal weight is 140, but 135 certainly wouldn't hurt! :) I work out daily (about 6 times a week at an intense level for at least 45 minutes). Currently doing the Insanity workout 4 times a week, running on the treadmill 1 day a week, and Pilates on the weekend. I'd…
  • Hoping to get to where most of you are already at! I'm 24, 5'9", and with a starting weight of 159 lbs. Working to get down to 135/140!
  • Started Insanity today and whew! Was SO much more difficult than anticipated. Working out with a few coworkers daily after work though, so hopefully it has some staying power. Definitely can feel the benefits of it already, so I'm excited to see what changes it'll bring!
  • Exactly the group I've been looking for! I just joined the MFP community and would love to have people to help stay accountable. Add me if you'd like to stay in touch! Age: 23 Height: 5'9" Current weight: 158 lb. Goal weight: 140 lb. Ultimate goal weight: 135-140 lb.
  • Hi Kristi -- looks like we have relatively the same goal. I'm shooting for about 20 pounds, but it's rough going. Hoping the MFP community can help me stay accountable. :)
  • Hi epcrin! I'm also starting Insanity today. Should be interesting -- I don't really know what to expect, but looks grueling. I've done some P90X workouts in the past and have been able to keep up relatively well, but not sure how similar/different these workouts are. Anywho, I'll be right there with ya!
