I say to keep carbs at a minimum at night is because when your sleeping (fasting) excess carbs can sit on you since your not moving thus possibly creating more fat. Get some weight lifting in, atleast 30 min 3-5 times per week. Give each body part 2 days rest when lifting. At your weight of 197 and height try 2000 calories and see if that works. How many calories have you been eating?
