  • Goingsunny, this is a great post and one that I am struggling with myself. When I need to turn on the heat, I can but once I reach my goal, I pull back some. I find that while I may allow for certain foods, what I don't do is skip exercise. I strive for 5...and if I miss a class then I need to make it up...period. I like…
  • Right on point with your advice!! Thanks so much!! My original goal was 145 then I dropped it to 140 and now I am at 137 as the goal...I am scared to add the maintenance calories in but will try it and see! Thanks again!!
  • One of the ways I determine if I need to exercise on the weekend is if I need the extra calories! You have a lot going on so you should be counting those calories burned. As long as you stay within your calorie range for Saturday and Sunday, then taking the weekend off is just fine!! Enjoy it! You certainly deserve it!

  • I have been doing Zumba for over a year about once a week. I do it in a studio as well as I have the tapes for at home (I went through Zumba withdrawal when my instructor took a trip to Cuba...lol) I really enjoy it and find myself looking forward to it each week. It is a nice change from the other cardio and strength work…

  • I have teenage kids that have activities after-school every day of the week, so while I am not rushing home to cook, I am rushing to either pick someone up or take someone some where. So working out in the mornings is what keeps me going. It takes a minute to get use to but once you start it is addictive. I work out 5 days…
  • Hey...What do you do the other 3 days during the week as I see that you work out 5x per week? I ask because if you are getting cardio in on the other 3 days then the 2 days that you are concerned with for strength should be varied as much as possible. When a routine begins to either make physical progress or you become…
  • Just calories for me...eat in moderation and portions...I stay within my calories and exercise 5 times a week...I go heard with exercise. Using this site and mobile app, I have actually lost the final 10 lbs I needed and have been able to maintain it since Thanksgiving...I love it and recommend it to others and clients all…
