  • I'm 5'9" and 115lbs...having lost like 25lbs unintentionally due to stress and stuff like that, I know exactly how you feel. I look in the mirror and all I see is fat...sometimes I can even just -feel- it all over my body. Same deal. But your bmi is 21.3, right smack in the middle of normal. There's no way you're fat,…
  • I'm not sure why my tolerance is so high compared to everyone else's, but I'll take 10mg about an hour/90 minutes before bed, and then I usually have no problems getting to sleep and staying asleep for a good 6 hours, at least. No significant adverse effects either, although I believe if you take it for too long without…
  • I'm trying to eat as clean as possible too...feel free to take a look or add me. (Just ignore the last couple days--moving out of town Saturday and trying to revisit some old favorites before then. Much stricter clean eating starts Sunday!)
  • Are you eating more fruit or more refined sugar? It's generally accepted that the sugar you have to monitor is added sugar (no more than 45g/day) whereas you can be a bit more lenient with naturally occurring sugars. Thing is, MFP can't differentiate between the two, so you have to keep tabs on it yourself.

  • Your macros are the amount of carbs, protein, and fat you consume (as opposed to micros, which are things like iron). 1g of carbs or protein typically has about 4 calories, whereas 1g of fat has about 9.
  • I regret that we only had one can of collard greens in the house...would have much rather had two helpings of that than prepackaged red beans and rice, yuck! On the whole though my eating was fairly clean, especially working with what I have on hand, so I'm quite happy about that.
  • I loveee piercings! Both aesthetically and the adrenaline rush of getting them. Right now I have 3 on each lobe, my cartilage on my right ear, and my belly button and I'm getting my nose and another cartilage ring later this week. Sometime in the future I want to get another cartilage in my left ear, venoms, and maybee my…
  • Generally the type of sugar you want to avoid is added sugar. Unless you're diabetic or have some other medical issue, there's no real reason to limit naturally occurring sugars, such as those found in fruit. MFP doesn't have the capacity to differentiate between naturally occurring sugars and added sugar, so you just need…
  • I try to follow the "80/20" rule when it comes to eating clean...tons of plant based food, a little dairy, and occasionally some lean meats. My diary is open-- feel free to take a look.
  • 2oz is the dry measure; however, from my experience and some other's, the weight seems to approximately double once the pasta has been cooked. If you measure it after it's cooked, one serving should be roughly 4oz.
  • I'm at around 1590/day and my diary is open. Curious to see other people's too...can never have enough new ideas!
  • Starting my third year, planning to test the limits of healthy eating in my dining hall this year...feel free to add me. (:
  • February 29th. My odds of finding a match are about a quarter of everyone else's but it's worth a shot!
  • It's a seasonal thing...I eat a -ton- of fruit in the summer (strawberries, apricots, plums, peaches, watermelon, etc.) but in the winter I'll hardly eat any, since most of my favorites are out of season. But right now I eat several servings a day. The amount of watermelon alone that I've eaten in the past week is…
  • As of recently (:
  • Over here it's a way to convey "non-fat milk, sugar-free syrup, and no whipped cream" in one little word...probably saves them a whole lot of time lol.
  • Skinny Caramel Macchiato 160 calories Fat: 1g Carbs: 25g Protein:11g Usually end up getting one 2-3 times a week when I'm at school...can't resist!
  • It's a rare day when I'm not over my protein limit, but I hear MFP's limits are set pretty low. Besides, you need to take in a seriously excessive amount of protein before there's any real risk of harm, so I don't worry about it. :) If I were tracking sugar I'm sure I'd be consistently over that limit too, but I don't…
  • Wow, this is kind of nuts. My parents started letting me walk in and out of town (down to the ice cream shop and such) when I was 11 or 12. By the time I was 13 I had a steady job baby-sitting two kids (5 and 9) and getting dropped off at the mall with my friends for the afternoon/evening came to be a regular occurrence. I…
  • You're most like someone from Vietnam You have a lower BMI than 97% of females aged 15-29 in your country, You have a lower BMI than 86% of females aged 15-29 in the world. If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 79,740,509 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population ...interesting?
