I was doing the over the counter stuff but now I'm trying out Shakeology. It's expensive and people will give it mixed reviews but it works for me. I use the chocolate and add a banana and mix it with Soy Natural chocolate milk, (1 cup 70 calories).

The best strategy is to not diet but rather make the journey a lifestyle adjustment. The more we lose, the better our labs look over time. I know many friends and family that have dropped big weight and were able to come off their cholesterol/diabetes/blood pressure meds. You can do it, one pound at a time.

The fact you're here is already an accomplishment. Recommend you adjust your prior "check ins" and start with whatever weight you're at now too. That's what I had to do in order to be honest wit my big self. :) You can do this!

Happens to me and I usually err on the side of the treadmill and just adjust my time to match. If that doesn't work well then stick with MFP.

Speaking as someone who has consumed 6-10 cans per day for nearly 30 years I'd have to agree with the other poster who recommends finding actual MEDICAL testing and not just the latest "they started drinking diet soda and their hamster became possessed!" stories. Anything in excess isn't necessarily "good" for you per se…

Thanks! Glad I could help! I know all about that 30 lbs thing. This time I've given them a permanent eviction notice though! Stay the course, you'll get there. I'll crack some jokes along the way to hopefully make the ride a little more fun.
