I like how you make things up.

Not gonna happen. For someone in their 20's, this makes sense. At 52 you want to be much more conservative (unless you're on hormone replacement). Your surplus should be primarily carbs. Not only do carbs have an additional "sink" for storage, but the process of converting dietary carbs to adipose tissue (DNL) is extremely…

Improved posture is the most likely explanation.

Utter nonsense See bold.

Nobody said it "wasn't real". You asserted earlier that "most people" were gluten intolerant -- a patently false assertion. Just because you may belong to the small minority is irrelevant.

And you're basing this assumption on what, exactly? Your feelings? LOL The placebo effect works both ways, people who believe that they will have an adverse reaction to something will often have it regardless of whether or not there's any actual physiological reason.
-
Celiac disease effects less than 1% of the population. Even the poorly-defined condition known as "gluten-intolerance" effects at most 10%. This is not "most people" by any stretch of the imagination.

A whole POUND???!!!!! Groundbreaking.

I'll leave it. Did you even read the actual study? It was *kitten*. They claimed an isocaloric diet - but didn't control for adherence. They claimed that the low carb group had a higher energy expenditure, but nobody lost any weight. They changed several variables, yet attributed the results to only one of them.
-
LOL. I was referring to the actual journal article -- NOT the lay-press interpretation. Have you ever read a journal article. Ever??? Methodology and raw data is supposed to be included -- in this case it wasn't. How about you actually address the actual criticisms of the study rather than just providing appeals to…

The study is complete garbage. No control for adherence, and despite the claims of differing TEE "“Body weight did not differ significantly among the 3 diets (mean [95% CI], 91.5 [87.4-95.6] kg for low fat; 91.1 [87.0-95.2] kg for low glycemic index; and 91.2 [87.1-95.3] kg for very low carbohydrate”." According to their…

It's impossible to do HIIT on a treadmill. The belt does not change speeds fast enough. Intervals? Yes. HIIT? No.

Then you can be sure it's nonsense.

How Meta.

Tough to tell from that angle, but it looks like you're initiating the 2nd pull too early -- this is causing the bar to drift waaay too far from your body. I'm not seeing those hips pop either. Your back angle should remain the same until you start the 2nd pull. Don't explode until you think it's too late -- then wait a…

All of these are good, healthy food choices. NONE of them have the magical "fat-burning" properties you attribute to them. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Stop making things up.

Don't forget the topic of this thread: Protein Shakes Dairy (esp whey) is especially insulinogenic.

^This^^ It's impossible to answer the question without knowing more details.

FYP.

Whole lot of nonsense in this article.

And people wonder why we feel the need to debunk the carbophobic bullsh!t.

No. If daily protein intake is sufficient, supplemental aminos do about 1/10 of jack-*kitten*.

Hierarchy of Importance When speaking of nutrition for improving body composition or training performance, it's crucial to realize there's an underlying hierarchy of importance. At the top of the hierarchy is total amount of the macronutrients by the end of the day. Distantly below that is the precise timing of those…
