Then why are you constantly spouting off with tinfoil-hat nonsense about their dangers?

LOL.

I like how you make things up.

So we have another PETA shill and a creationist. Awesome!

How do I log "intellectual tap-dancing"?

Do you have four stomachs?

Only if you cherry-pick to support your fantasies. http://rawfoodsos.com/2011/09/22/forks-over-knives-is-the-science-legit-a-review-and-critique/

LOL. I guess if you restrict your research to PETA-sponsored propaganda. Real science says otherwise. http://www.beyondveg.com/billings-t/comp-anat/comp-anat-9a.shtml

More fiction. Why do you think this is the least bit important in a caloric deficit?
-
Stop making things up.

I like how you jump to conclusions without actually looking things up. On his "convenience store diet," he shed 27 pounds in two months. He now weighs 174 pounds. Haub's body fat dropped from 33.4 to 24.9 percent. Do the math. He lost about 3lbs of LBM. ONOEZ!!!! His muscles fell off!!!

We get exactly what you're saying. And you're wrong.

How is YOUR body at all relevant to someone who has a vastly different body type? "Works for you" is not grounds for throwing out absolute numbers and making sweeping generalizations.

Never had it. What does it taste like?

Some key phrases extracted for clarity: a review of studies in which 24-hour energy expenditure was measured did not provide evidence to support a metabolic advantage of low-carbohydrate diets There were no differences in any aspect of substrate balance in AT athletes, WT athletes, or NA men by group obese subjects showing…

In 7 of the 10 studies, there was no difference in resting or sleeping metabolic rate.33-39 When fat was substituted for carbohydrate (keeping protein matched), the 24-hour energy expenditure of the groups did not differ. In two studies that included a post- obese subgroup, 24-hour energy expenditure decreased 75–80…

LOL How many of these have you actually read? Or did you just copy/paste from some carbophobe site. How many of them matched calories and protein? Metabolic ward studies (self reported data is ridiculously unreliable). Get back to me when you read and understand what the studies are saying. Since we're playing the…

Low carb diets work the exact same way that every other diet works - by creating a caloric deficit. If you find that you can adhere to them long term, then they're generally fine. But they aren't magic, and they're no more effective than low-fat, or moderate-carb, moderate-fat diets.

You realize that scientists NEVER speak in absolutes, right? Whenever you hear someone speaking in absolutes, you can promptly disregard everything they have to say. The insulin hypothesis was discarded by mainstream science over 30 years ago -- you just have a few clowns on the fringe still pimping this stuff. They just…

Roughly a quarter of obese humans have normal circulating insulin and normal insulin sensitivity ("metabolically healthy" obese) (9). In Pima (Akimel O'odham) native Americans, one of the most obesity-prone populations in the world, and certain other populations, insulin resistance and higher insulin secretion consistently…

Stick with a strength based routine. When you can Bench 200, Squat 270, and Deadlift 315 you can think about hypertrophy routines. Any sooner than that, you'll be wasting your time. These numbers aren't hard and fast, but you should be within shooting distance.
