Some food can help you think more clearly. Wholegrains, tuna, something with a bit of sugar in it (apple, banana). Don't stress about it. You have enough stress. :ohwell:

My daughter's musical goodnight bear on his eleventy-millionth repetition of the evening. Go to sleep, silly lady!

I think that would be a slice of Sara Lee strawberry cheesecake and a latte.

One day is not going to undo the good work of six weeks, woman. Make yourself do a workout, keeping drinking water and chin up! I have felt like you're feeling now more often than I care to think about.

In!
-
Exactly.

Weird question. I have never noticed nor given a toss inside a gym or out of it. Why would any normal adult?
-
Yes. It's the main reason I married him.

I like this. You go, girl.

Running makes me hobble around the next day, even when I do all the stretches and stuff. I quite like the feeling, having grown used to move of the stuff I do every day.

My husband and I have always agreed to tell the other if he or she gets worryingly overweight and needs some gentle prodding to mend their ways. I still don't think he ever would, though. There is a difference between saying "I'll take the kids if you want to do some exercise" or "What would you like from the veggie shop?"…

I loathe Kate Moss, but I quite like the phrase. Substitute "slim" for "skinny," and there is a lot of truth to it. I have been slim (am starting to get there again) and I have been several stone overweight (gained while breastfeeding). The former does indeed feel much better. I love huge meaty Cornish pasties, but I'm not…

Fantastic, kiekie! It is so heartening when you notice the changes, isn't it? Totally agree about earning your food. Amazing feeling.

Or do some more exercise so's to buy back some calories.

Have loads.all over my torso and loose skin on my tummy which bunches up when I do sit-ups. My c-section scar is still bright purple nearly two years later and I have a raised ridge of hard scar tissue right under it which protrudes now that I have lost most of the baby weight. I look at my beautiful daughter and think how…

Water before the meal, smaller plates and filling your plate up with low-calorie vegetables. Also, exercise! I'm much less inclined to overeat if I have some good work I don't want to undo.

Buy some swimming togs and learn to swim. :)

I feel a bit guilty, yes. But I emerged from doing aerobics this evening, and the baby and my husband were dancing to Russian gangsta music, completely happy and in their own world. It is good to know I'm not quite as indispensable around here as I like to imagine. But in general, I tend to wait till the kid is in…

I'm a Kiwi and my husband is English. Believe me, we are very different. I never realised how different our backgrounds were till we got together. Fortunately, we like the same grub. Like chigau, we mainly eat Asian stuff, stir-fries, noodles, rice, curries. And fortunately, roast dinners are part of both our…

Baked potatoes. Always.

I really like yoga, but it is unlikely to help much in losing weight. I am a fan of intense late-night workouts, of which there are lots on youtube.com. It might be a better use of your time, if weight loss is your goal.

The picture loads OK. She is gorgeous. But perhaps it would be better to remove it now. It would be pretty mortifying if in a few years she found out her mum had been posting "fat" pictures of her on the internet. Sorry, not attacking you, you are to be commended for seeking help for her. A ballet class? Gym? She will…

I alternate Shred with another of her DVDs (Killer B and T), plus do proper cardio, six days a week. Definitely doable.

Obviously red meat a few times a week is going to help you. I can't take the iron+ vitamin C supplements, but general vitamin tablets including iron fixes seem to go down better. Good luck! When you fix this, you'll have so much more energy. :)

I will start in December, I've just decided. (Want to tackle Shred Level 3 first). Will be watching this thread with interest.

Pinkford, that is shocking. Why the hell would anyone consider your figure their business? Horrible. No one has ever dared say anything to my face. I am quite scary, mind.

Privyet. :) I'm not from Russia, but I lived in Russia for a couple of years and am a complete Russophile. Just got a degree in Russian here in New Zealand. I want to be back there. Feel free to add me! Russian food is the best in the world. Ah, syrki... I miss them. And the kefir. And the solyanka. And the Kroshka…

Hello, feel free to befriend me. I'm Sarah, from Christchurch.

I had this problem till I started drinking more water. I also found reducing carbs made me irritable and tired and therefore more likely to eat. If I have my main meal at 8pm or later (contrary to the habit of a lifetime!), I am less likely to go and eat more. Good luck!

Do the Shred workout on Youtube. All you need are a couple of cans (for weights) and your own bodyweight. It's only 20 mins long but by golly it works.
