SLL - I haven't started logging using MFP yet but I will open it once I get a few days in. I'd love some advice although the first bit will just be baseline really.

My father and his friends used to call me "whale woman" when I was a kid. Seriously. It didn't help. And I'm sure it's totally contributed to my weight issues and yo-yo dieting throughout life.

If you really *need* caffeine, pop a caffeine pill. When I gave up Diet Coke, I was looking for a source of caffeine and this works as well as coffee or soda. Diet Coke withdrawal was the worst (not the caffeine but the aspartame) but I've been "clean" for 7 months.

I had a guest membership for a month at the one in North Haven and I really liked it. It wasn't super busy (although I wasn't going at 5pm) and the classes were surprisingly good (particularly the boxing classes). Try it!
