  • Luna Bars Chocolate Peppermint Stick Nutz Over Chocolate White Chocolate Macadamia Nut I just wish they had more protein and less sugar.
  • I love cottage cheese plain, but I also use it in my smoothies/protein shakes. You would never know it is in there, but it makes the shakes creamier and thicker. Please check out these recipes, they are great!!! http://dashingdish.com/recipes/shakes/ P.S. You don't have to add the protein powder.
  • This site has some great recipes, I love the shakes. http://dashingdish.com/recipe/dashing-dish-official-protein-shake/

  • It is very good! That is my favorite for taste. Quest is my favorite for nutrition though.
  • I just recently started using coconut oil and I love it. I bought the Nutiva virgin, organic, unrefined coconut oil. I use it from my head to my toes, it is a great moisturizer. I have only used lotion once and that was when I was away from home. I need to find a small, secure container so the coconut oil doesn't leak in…
  • Netrition has great prices with a standard $4.95 shipping fee. I always get my order in 3 business days because they ship UPS. I just ordered my 2nd 16oz bag of PB2 and the cost was $7.99. I also like their Protein Plus Peanut Flour and that is a little cheaper. It also contains a little more protein.…
  • I am another Quest fan. At first I didn't care for them, more the texture than anything else. They are more expensive but you are paying for a higher quality bar, in my opinion. I now really like them, but I can't afford to eat them too often. I tend to keep something like this on hand for convenience. For instance, one…
  • I am also a PB2 fan and a Netrition shopper. I also found the price was cheaper and you can't beat the flat $4.95 standard shipping and you get your order in 3 days. I never get my order with Amazon's free shipping that fast. I placed a Netrition order yesterday around lunch time and I will have it Thursday. I just ordered…

  • I agree about eating real food, but I also like having something shelf stable in my purse and desk. I have been trying different protein bars and reading reviews on here and elsewhere. You will get so many different opinions due to different physical needs, taste and texture isssues. I do like the Quest bars but they took…
  • I have the Double Chocolate and I like it. I don't notice an after taste with it. I mix in PB2 or peanut flour and I really like that. I want to try some coconut flavoring along with the coconut oil I received today. I think the chocolate would also be good with peppermint flavoring.
  • Thanks for responding. I hope someone sees this who has tried the natural flavor and can let us know how it is.
  • Bringing back to the top to see if I can get some opinions. Thanks!
  • I get mine at Krogers for $1. The Chocolate Peppermint Stick is so good. It reminds me of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies. I also like the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and Nutz Over Chocolate. I just wish these bars had more protein and had less sugar, but none the less, they are good.
  • If you have a good blender, you won't know the cottage cheese in there. The shakes are very smooth. Cottage cheese is a great source of protein and much cheaper than protein powders per serving.
  • Chia seeds. These are another almost tasteless superfood, but they have SO many health benefits! Chia seeds are high in fiber, calcium, omega-3s and antioxidants. According to this source, a single serving of chia seeds (1 tbsp) has 6x the calcium of milk, 3x more iron than spinach, and 3x the antioxidants of blueberries.…
  • This is what I use. I fill it with grilled chicken tenders, lettuce, tomatoes and Ranch Dressing. I have also used the Pioneer Woman's Marlboro Man recipe instead of using the bread.
  • Thank you for the responses so far. I have another question. How do I know if someone I am friends with has posted something. Do I get some type of notification (like email)?
  • I call this my black gold since they are so expensive. I eat them daily. I start out my day with 2 tsp. in my water then I usually add 1 tsp in my food sometime during the day. I bought a 10# bag recently. I don't ever want to run out. I have to say that since I started buying them last August, they keep going up in price.…

  • I am so sorry, I misread your post. The website was about chia and you asked about flax seed. I can't right now, but I will get you some websites with the information.
  • The website I mentioned explains it better than I ever could.
  • I would suggest cottage cheese or Greek yogurt (plain) for protein, if you don't want a powder form of protein. I use both cottage cheese and Fage Greek yogurt in my smoothies/shakes. FYI - I have read about Xanthan gum but it is expensive, so I haven't bought any yet. I wish you could buy a small amount, but I haven't…
  • I have been reading about protein bars and protein shakes. I don't lift weights, but I do walk 2 miles daily at 4.2 miles per hour on a 10% incline. I started eating healthier last June. I was a healthy eater before, I just ate too many carbs. I was having low blood sugar issues and that doesn't feel good. I started eating…
  • Since you are concerned about becoming pregnant, it seems like real food would make you feel more comfortable. The two highest protein sources in my diet daily are cottage cheese and Fage Greek yogurt. I also eat lean meat, eggs, string cheese and beans. I feel so much better eating a high protein, moderate fat (good fats)…
  • Everyones dietary needs are different. I find eating chia seeds daily worth it to me. I have been eating them for almost a year and would hate to be with out them. The omega benefit is great. I also eat flax seeds, eat 1 T of each daily. Here is a great website that talks about the benefits of chia seed.…
