  • Some of what we eat that keeps us full is relative to what time we eat breakfast and lunch. I am up at 3:45 most mornings. I eat breakfast about 6:00-6:30 a.m. and lunch about 11:40 during the work week. I have friends who eat breakfast around 8:00 and then eat lunch with me at 11:40.
  • Yum Yum!!! That's what I have every morning, except I put some grinded flax seed on top.
  • I love the Nutiva Extra Virgin Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil. I put it in my coffee, on my toast, on top of a baked sweet potato and use in place of oil. I also remove eye make up with it, use it as an all over body moisturizer. I love the stuff. I have also shaved with it.
  • First of all, I don't put creamer in my coffee. I like the creamer to flavor my Cottage Cheese/Greek Yogurt. I mix about equal parts of cottage cheese and Greek yogurt, then add 1/2 T of creamer for flavor. My absolute favorite is Bailey's Brown Butter Pecan. I like Baileys because it is made with cream and not oil.
  • I used coconut oil, peanut butter and topped with ground flaxseed.
  • If anyone is interested I have a $10 referral code for www.vitacost.com You can save $10 off any order. I have done this and there is a standard $4.99 S&H on orders under $49. You can get some items free except for S&H depending on what you order. Just send me a private message if you are interested. I have used both…
  • Some Stevia and sugar free coffee creamer. The seasonal varieties offer some good flavors. I know it isn't the healthiest option, but I don't use that much. I have even used some of the creamers that aren't sugar free, but just use a little bit.
  • I do not like Coke Zero but I like Cherry Coke Zero. Otherwise, I drink Diet Coke.
  • I have only tried the Internation Delight York Peppermint Patty. My friend made a low carb cheesecake and bought this to flavor it, then realized it had more sugar and carbs than she realized. I like it but, I want to find the sugar free versions because I am careful with my sugar. I want to try the seasonal varieties as…
  • Low Carb Cheesecake 1 -8oz cream cheese 1 C whipping cream 1/2 Splenda or more according to your taste. Cream the cream cheese and Splenda. Whip your whipping cream until stiff peaks form, then blend with the cream cheese mixture. Store in the refrigerator. My friend added some sugar free coffee creamer (liquid) to the…
  • Nutrionally speaking they are great. For me the texture was something I had to get used to, but they are much better slightly warmed in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. Flavors will vary because of individual taste. I have bought them as singles from Netrition when I place orders. I may order 2 or 3 flavors to try.…
  • I bought both since some recipes call for both kinds.
  • I'm sorry you have had bad luck with your protein powder. I look forward to my protein shake every morning. I use the base recipe from Dashing Dish and her many different varieties. I feel like I am drinking a milk shake every morning. I do use the xantham gum and guar gum for a better consistency and texture. Please check…
  • Mounds bars. I have never been a coconut fan, but I started consuming coconut oil in July and I love it. I just started craving Mounds bars about 2 weeks ago. I look forward to my fun size Mounds bar every night now. I could eat two but stop myself because I am careful with my sugar intake.
  • Ghiradelli is double the price of Hershey's but I don't know if that makes it any better. I didn't buy it. I have bought cocoa from Penzey Spices and I like it, but I don't really know if it is any better.it is just more expensive. Penzey spices are great though.…
  • I buy PB2 and Protein Peanut Flour from Netrition. They have great prices and standard shipping of $4.95 no matter how big or small your order is. I have always received my shipment in 3 business days (they ship UPS). It is much cheaper to buy the PB2 by the 1# bag. I like the Protein Plus Peanut Flour because I get a few…
  • I eat some of the Pure Protein Bars. I am a chocolate die hard fan, but I detest the Pure Protein Chocolate Deluxe. That was awful.
  • Edited for double post.
  • I eat them for snacks when I am out because they are shelf stable. Some are glorified candy bars. I like the Quest bars and Detour bars best. The Pure Protein bars are pretty good with a lot of protein. I like the flavor of Luna bars but they don't have enough protein for me.
  • Homemade Black Bean Brownies. It is different than regular brownies, but is satisfies my chocolate craving and I feel like I am getting dessert. IMHO, they taste much better cold and much better after 24 hours. I guess the flavors have time to blend better.
  • I am new user of coconut oil (the beginning of July). I love it as a lotion and have since quit using other lotions. I eat 1 T a day. I usually have 1/2 T in my coffee and 1/2 T on my toast. This is daily. Other times I do bake with it or add it to something, such as a baked potato. There are many health benefits but…
  • If you put the cottage cheese in the blender, you will never know it is in there. Makes the shakes creamier with the benefit of protein.
  • I have gotten some great recipes from this site. I have loved almost all of the ones I tried, some better than others. http://dashingdish.com/recipes/shakes/
  • I love coconut oil. I buy the Nutiva brand from Netrition. I surprisingly like it in my coffee. I started out with 1/2 tsp. and I now use 1/2 T. I really enjoy the aroma and taste, the oil doesn't bother me. I also love it on my toast. I have used it on sweet potatoes, in my smoothies, protein bars, brownies, eggs, cottage…
  • My family likes the whole wheat pasta. I am sure it took some getting used to. It is healthier and the carbs are good versus the white pasta with refined carbs. I would suggest trying different brands until you find one you like. The pasta is like pasta sauce, all brands don't taste alike.
  • I plan on trying this recipe today or tomorrow. Peanut Butter and Jelly Protein Bars http://dashingdish.com/recipe/pbj-protein-bars/ 1/2 cup Protein powder ( vanilla) 1/4 cup Peanut flour (or PB 2) 1/2 tsp. Baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 T Applesauce, unsweetened 1/4 cup Skim milk (or milk substitute of choice) 1/4 cup Egg…
  • I love the recipes on this site. http://dashingdish.com/recipes/shakes/
  • Cottage Cheese Pancakes ½ C dry oatmeal ½ C cottage cheese 2 whole eggs ¼ tsp. baking powder ¼ tsp. vanilla extract ½ tsp. brown sugar Splenda blend (optional) Dash of cinnamon (optional) ½ scoop protein powder (optional) Blend everything in a blender and cook like regular pancakes.
  • Endangered Species brand has different levels (48%-88%) of chocolate that are very good. I generally get the 72% or 88%, I like them both. https://www.chocolatebar.com/categories.php?category=Chocolate-Bars-%26-Treats Paul Newman also has some good dark chocolate. I used to be a Dove Dark Chocolate fan until I started…
  • I used to be a Dove Dark Chocolate fan, but when I started eating less sugar, I tried different brands of dark chocolate. I am so glad I found Endangered Species. They have a lot of variety. :)
