Definitely do some strength training! You don't really need a trainer...you can do some research before you hit the gym. Also please reconsider your goal weight as that is still an obese weight for your height.

How exciting! Congrats!

My March goal is 310 miles or 10 miles a day! I'm going to break it up every day into 2-3 Leslie walks.

This for me too. I have an iPhone I back up regularly so would still have all my info. I'd be annoyed if I lost it but overall it would be no big deal. I'd just go buy a new one if I was due for an upgrade. If not, I'd just buy a used one on eBay.

I have a centrum multivitamin every day.

100% honest! But I also don't ask questions I don't want to hear the answer to. I would never ask 'Does this make me look fat?' Instead I would ask 'Does this look good on me?' or something like that.

Good job, congrats!!
-
Good job!! You look wonderful

Please take the caps lock off. That is considered 'shouting' on the internet and it is really hard to read. I'm 41 and have lost a considerable amount of weight. Honestly my skin is pretty tight. No sagging or wrinkling.

LOL True story in my case heeeee!

How was he able to ask you all these questions?? How was he able to 'stop' you?? Just because someone asks you a question doesn't mean you have to answer it. Just because someone asks you to stop doesn't mean you have to. Next time, be it him or some other creepy man, FIRST question they ask simply shake your head and…

My February goal is 8 miles a day so 224 miles for the month  I generally break this up into 2 walks a day; 3 miles in the morning before work, 5 miles in the evening after work. Only got in 1 mile this morning though, so will have to make it up tonight!

Ok, you can of course decide how fast you want to lose weight but with 30 pounds to lose 1 pound a week is good. A half pound loss every week is even better; more realistic. On MyFitnessPal, click the 'My Home' tab and then 'Goals'. Input your info there. MFP will then give you a daily calorie goal. Follow this. Drink at…

What are your goals? The best advice would pertain to this.

Good job keep going! You look good now, you will be stunning at goal weight!

I know a lot of people who seem to think of their children as insurance policies i.e people who will take care of them when they're old...so maybe whoever is telling you that thinks you are selfish for putting your elderly care onto people who are not your children? I don't know what else they could possibly mean.. People…

This is my favorite Leslie walk!

I've had a few friends who are 'fat-positive' give me the side eye about losing weight, and telling me I should 'love my body the way it is'. I laughed in their faces and asked did they want me to die?? Because when I was obese death was where I was heading. Sure we're all going to die but why should I rush to the grave?…

Overeating.
-
Oh so you don't really mean it when you say you don't need carbs. *eyeroll* Of course you need carbs.
-
Yes please give an example!! I was a vegetarian for 24 years and I am mystified as to what you are talking about. Vegetables have carbs. Fruit has carbs. Nuts have carbs. Legumes have carbs.

I teach and currently substitute teach while I'm working on my Master's, and I work for a very large district. This means I don't get around to some schools for a long time. Now, I have very long, very distinctive dreadlocks that are 3.5 feet long. You might not recall my face but you cannot forget my hair. I also have an…

Go early in the morning or late at night to avoid the newbie crowd.

Do it on your own! Sometimes my husband and I go to the gym together, sometimes we go separately. My at-home workouts, he NEVER does them with me as he has zero interest in walking (Leslie Sansone DVDs) or hula hooping. Oh well I'm still going to do them! It doesn't sound like your husband is unmotivated to work out...only…

What a wonderful occurrence!

Just because you can't see it yet doesn't mean nothing has happened. Have you weighed yourself? Have you taken body measurements? I lost over 40 pounds before I could 'see' my weightloss to myself. This was after many months.

Wait...what?? You need to lose 150 pounds. You have a serious medical condition that requires brain surgery. You need to lose at least 50 of the 150 pounds in order to get this surgery. You have a doctor that is willing to supervise you on a specific diet. Yet...you ask complete strangers on an Internet message board for…

Also I agree with the heavy lifting! There is a regular poster on MFP, I can't recall her user name right now but she looks amazing from lifting! And is actually about 10 pounds more than when she started, but looks significantly smaller than she did at the lower weight. Her body is tight!

This right here. You are most likely eating more than you think. Log everything! Even just a 'taste' of this or that. I log everything, including gum. I weigh/measure my food. If I'm still unsure about something, I go with the higher calorie count as opposed to the lower. You cannot continually gain on a calorie deficit…
