  • I guess I don't see the big deal. So she wasn't interested. Sometimes we have to be true to ourselves first. I know alot of recovering ED people on here don't like to be friends with others who eat less than x number of calories, because its a trigger. Loosing weight can be somewhat of a selfish process, and thats okay.…
  • We eat a ton of sweet potatos! They go with everything, sweet, spicy, creamy etc. http://www.edibleperspective.com/home/2010/3/27/simplicity.html sweet potato bake. cut into rounds and then. really good! http://dlynz.com/?p=2353 crash sweet potatos. i use just a smidge of oil to get them crispy.…
  • You don't need chocolate or any other junk for that matter, thats something you have conditioned yourself to think. Go for a run. Sweat out all the emotions.
  • There are so many overly sensitive people on here! So perhaps he didn't word it well, but he was honest. Sometimes the truth hurts right? I'll never understand why people like to be lied too! Perhaps he isn't right for you if you are looking for somebody who sugar coats things, and if thats the case, he might have just…
  • I used to assume that vegan/vegitarian meant they ate healthy. Whole grains, fruits, veg, ect, just not meat/dairy. That is until we helped some friends of ours move a few weeks ago. I have never seen more packaged junk in my life! One is a vegan, one is a vegitarian, but they amount of canned processed food was…
  • Now that I have cut out most carbs, like bread, potatoes, rice ect. I have very hard time getting up to 1200! I have a filling, wonderful salad for lunch that is romaine, mesclun mix, chopped chx. breast, balsamic vinegar, a chopped tomato with salt and pepper. Its 166 ish calories, and really tasty. I'm not doing a " low…
  • This was more interesting than I thought it would be. I am suprised to see that people eat instant oatmeal. I guess I just always assumed that was a kid food. I don't really eat breakfast much these days. I'm just not hungry, and my caffine habit is out of control. I need coffee within 20 mins of being up or I feel like I…
  • First, I would pay off my student loans and our house. It's our only debt, so it really hangs over my head. Then I would hire a nanny, so somebody could be home with the kids while I get breast implants! I really doubt we would move, our house is already close to what we want, but I would build my dream kitchen and spare…
  • I can't believe we are at the 3 month mark. It seems like just yesterday we were at 10 months away! I did most of my planning within 2 weeks of being engaged, but I'm starting to feel pressure from all the little details. I'm nervous about not meeting my goals... 12 lbs away still!
  • Whoa, did you hack into my account and write this for me? The only difference is that I'm getting married in Oct! For some reason turning 26 seemed to flip a switch on my metabolism to OFF! Staying the exact same weight for months and months despite 4-6 workouts per week and counting calories. I am 128 lbs (as of today!)…
  • Muscle does not weigh more than fat!!! A pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle! However, muscle is more dense than fat tissue, so it takes up less body mass. Perhaps you could try not eatting back some of your exercise calories? 5 lbs is nothing to shake a stick at though! Have you done your measurements?
  • Your face really says it all. Even though you are all smiles in your wedding picture, the photo on the right just oozes happiness and pride! That can't be faked!
  • I'm sorry but this is hilarious. I can't stop laughing at everybodies stories! Kids that young aren't mean, they are honest. They haven't learned yet that our society has shame built into the word "fat". My daughter has said lots of embarassing things at people in public, like calling a guy in a wheelchair a "robot". In…
  • Diet Coke makes me happy. I love it, and drink it daily. I'm not concerned with all the "bad" info about, everbody has their vice, and that is mine. I eat pretty healthy, and workout 6 days week, I don't smoke or drink, but diet coke is here to stay. If I wasn't getting enough water I could see cutting back ,but no…
  • I don't do any workouts outside alone, with the exception of a one mile looped street next to us. We live in a typical suburb, and I'm sure it would be fine, but my hubby doesn't like the idea, so I don't do it. I certainly wouldn't run in the woods alone!
  • How old is your son? 10 pm sounds super late!

  • Melatonin was life changing in our household. We have a 4 year old who started on melatonin when she was about 18 months old. After months of sleepless nights, we were at a breaking point. She could stay up to almost 3 or 4 am everyday, with no daytime naps. It was starting to effect her fathers ability to function at…

  • I looked at your diary and it seems like it might be time to "refine" your eatting habits. Summer is the perfect season for that! Give your body quality fuel; lean protien, whole grains, fresh fruits and veg. Try and move away from processed foods and refined carbs. Nobody is perfect, but perhaps a change in diet will…
  • I love it for breakfast with berries!
  • I looked at your diary (briefly, so I'm making some assumptions) and the two things I saw right off the bat was almost no water intake, and the calories burned on th AMT machine seem incredibly high. 1100 cals for 60 mins? That just can't be accurate! My weight can flux just like yours, and I know how frustrating that can…
  • I'm all about brutal honestly, and I would say wearing just a sports bra at the gym is fine, IF you have the figure for it. I know I don't have the figure for it yet, so I keep my shirt on. Do you have the body for it?
  • Is yoga or pilates an option for you? It might do your body some good to stretch and move gentley.
  • LEAVE! If you want to drop the pounds you must burn more calories than you consume. If you eat what you "earned" then its a wash for the day, nothing lost, nothing gained. Mine says I earned 490 additional calories, but I ignore that. I'm not interested in going above my daily alloted calories...
  • I think some people are more sensitive to sodium! I know I am, and my mother is as well. If I eat one salty meal, like take out, I am swollen for about 3 days, and sometimes my weight is up close to 5 lbs overnight. It is really frusting to have one meal impact my life that much. I don't like seeing the scale jump 5 lbs…

  • HI! I'm new here, just signed up yesterday. I am getting married on Oct. 13th in Poulsbo, Washington. Our venue is a 100 yr old restored farm house with several barns and they are full of vintage treasures, antiques and super old WORKING pin ball machines. I'm one of those type A people, so almost all of the planning was…
