I don't see any issue with eating fruit in moderation. Yes, it does contain fructose but it also has fibre and other vitamins and minerals which slow down the liver processing it. Some fruits are higher in fructose than others. Bananas are very high as opposed to berries or kiwi fruit.Fructose from table sugar, honey,…

I would recommend anyone interested in this topic read the book Sweet Poison by David Gillespie. It is very informative about how bad sugar is for us and easy to understand. It explains how fructose affects the hormones in your body that control appetite along with many other problems. In the last 50 years since they…

I am lucky. I live in a country that although it is considered Christian Most people don't really care. Not many people go to church and most don't really care what you believe as long as you don't push it on others. I can only imagine how hard it must be to live in a community/family where you're considered a lesser…

From someone who doesn't live in the US, the lead up this election has been very interesting to watch from the outside.

Did W6R2 again tonight and completed it without to much trouble this time. Amazing how much your mind set can effect your success.

Well tonight I attempted W6R2 and it was a fail. I got about 2 min into the second 10 min run but my calf muscles were screaming at me and I just couldn't go on. I had a tough gym session last night and my legs just felt to heavy today. I will stretch lots tomorrow and attempt it again in 2 days. This is my first failed…

W6R1 Done. Feel that I am starting to improve as I am getting further before the thoughts of giving up pop into my head.

I completed week 5 yesterday. Some big jumps in this week but still got it done. Decided to to the trail I run in reverse to change it up a bit. 2 shorter but steeper hills rather than the one steady climb the other way. Not sure which one I prefer.

Just be careful to look after your lower back. If you are not doing it properly you can do some damage.

Did W5R1 tonight. It felt pretty good. How is everyone else going?

Did W4R3 this morning. I found it really hard. Only just finished it. Thinking of doing this one again before moving on to week 5. I have a rest day tomorrow then a gym session planned for Sat. I will see how i feel on Sunday to decide if i will repeat or not.

Well done guys. I also did W4R2 last night. It was hard but I did get a little further than I did last run which was a unexpected. Planning to go out again really early tomorrow morning and do the last run for week 4. Have to go early cause it is going to get really hot here tomorrow. I am also a little worried about the…

Good on you.

Every run for me is different. Some are so easy then the next one which is in the same week is harder. A few things make a difference for me that I have noticed are, making sure I have drunk a lot of water before my run. I need to be really hydrated. The time of the day can make a difference. Sometimes I run early in the…

Give it a crack Phil. It is a challenge but it is do able. I did W4R1 early this morning. This one was tougher than week 3 that's for sure. Moving forward people.

W3R3 done and dusted tonight.
-
Well done. You look fantastic.
-
Did W3R2. Left my phone at work so had to do it with no music and no app, just a stop watch. The only thing about running with no head phones in is you can hear how loud your puffing lol.
-
Went out really early this morning to do W3R1. It was going to get hot today so decided to get it over with before it got to hot.
-
Good luck. Hope your first run is awesome.

Wow everyone is doing so well. It must be hard when you have to deal with snow. I live in Australia so I don't have that issue. I am dealing with the heat but this year it hasn't been to bad. Just got back from finishing W2R3 in 29C I have not idea what that is in F but it wasn't to bad.

Just think of all the extra clories your burning pushing the stroller. I think it's fantastic that your kids go out with you. My 10 year old would hide under the dooner and quiver in fear.

Try and eat foods in their natural state. Avoid all the processed stuff. Will you eat veggies if they are in a stir fry?
-
Hi everyone glad there are a few more people joining the group. I did W2R1 this morning.I think I found this on easier than week 1but I have come off two rest days so that may be why. Bran how is your knee holding up?

Maybe go and see a podiatrist. I also have issues with my feet and getting the podiatrist to make me custom orthotics for my shoes really helped me. I know they can be expensive but so is buying heaps of shoes that don't fit your feet. They last a really long time. I walked a 100km hike last year wearing mine and couldn't…

It is an awesome program isn't it? I did W1R3 tonight. I am going to rest Friday and Saturday then start W2R1 on Sunday. Please feel free to friend me. I would love to chat with people that are at around the same stage as me. I have completed this program a few years back so I know I can do it.
-
I just did W1R3 today. I normally run outside but today I ran on a treadmill due to bad weather. This is my second time doing C25K. I finished it a few years back. I have been walking every other day this week. Next week I am starting weight training with a trainer and I am going to complete the C25K on every other day. I…
