  • This is definitely my DH and I lately... I stress out over little things more so than usual. Things have been stressing him at work and when I was upset and stressing out over something he did (it was a mistake, it happens), he blew up and it was a horrible fight the other night. We have since said our apologies, but I…
  • We are having a boy and I so badly wanted either Gabriel or Tristan and my DH is not having either one... I made him promise though if we have a second boy, he will have Tristan.. whether first or middle, lol. We are trying to agree whether or not to name our baby boy Jude Alexander or Alexander Jude... we also like Luke…
  • This. And I'm not sure if you are skipping meals or have some of your diary unfinished, but make sure you log everything and don't skip meals! Less processed foods as well. They can be higher in the sodium area and not help w/ retaining. Hope that helps!
  • I've always had some sort of sleep issue, mostly bc I'm a night owl. It's worsened over the past couple of years bc we've had to move further away from my job (longer commute) and I'm always afraid of oversleeping, so I sleep light during the week. Weekends, I'm knocked out 8-10 hours (unless it's a bathroom break!). It…
  • IMO, just steaming the crab in a pot by itself is heaven! When I flavor it up, I usually dip it in butter, apple cider vinegar, and old bay seasoning. Now... I have to buy some crab meat
  • I mix them in smoothies, sometimes add them to grilled cheese sandwiches. I also make Chocolate pudding where the main ingredient is Avocado.. it's awesome!! If you want to try the recipe, I'll try and find it, but Idk if you would be up to try it that way if you're not an Avocado person. Personally, I could eat one like…
  • It's horrible. I did so well yesterday and was proud of myself until I had one of those healthy choice fudge bars. Usually I would've been satisfied, but it started something w/ my taste buds and before you knew it, I had several cookies and a couple of small bags of gummies w/ milk.... ugh, so ashamed!
  • Agreed! Plus, foods that are listed as low fat generally have either more sodium or more sugar in it so it won't lose it's taste.
  • This is baby #1 for us... a baby boy :) Between my two brothers, there are 6 girls and 1 boy so everyone is quite happy that it's a boy so my nephew can have someone to play with, haha. If it were a girl... be easier to get the hand-me-downs!
  • Avocado, nuts, cheese (sticks, cottage, slices), berries (raspberries, strawberries, etc), greek yogurt, eggs, meat.
  • Feel free to add me as well. I am currently not losing bc I'm pregnant, but I'm no where near done losing weight. Starting weight was 312, went to 252 (60lbs down) before getting pregnant.
  • Like most others have said... make sure you log everything you eat. Some people say eat fruit to curb the craving, but if I have a specific craving, I have to have whatever it is (bc otherwise it won't go away) and just have it in moderation. I have been doing low carb/high protein (it's been harder since the start of my…
  • You are such an inspiration. I feel this way about myself as well... being in denial until I took before and after pics half way through... couldn't believe it! Congratulations on you new goal... keep up the awesome, hard work!!
  • Mine come and go. I don't have anything specifically that I don't like, but usually anything that has a very strong smell I typically am turned off from. For me, smelling too much garlic, bbq, onions, or those seasoning mixes that are really strong I can't take it :-\ From what I understand, some women are turned off from…
  • My schedule isn't so much a busy one as I'm limited for time. I'm lucky bc the building where I work has a gym open to the tenants. I used to get up at 5am to be at work at 8:30am (DC commuter) and sometimes I didn't have enough time to workout and I was always too hungry to go during lunch. I don't get home until…
  • First off, Sorry for your loss and congrats on this pregnancy; I hope all goes well. Generally most don't like to say anything until the end of the first trimester bc of the risk of miscarriages drops significantly. With your Boss' last response, I don't know if I would tell her now and may just make up something, but then…
  • Yeah, I checked w/ the Nurse at my Dr's office and she said as long as it wasn't coming out like in clumps or anything, that it's more than likely hormonal. I see all over my head where my hair is growing back now, so my mind has been eased. It was like every time I touched my hair, more than usual would come out and even…
  • That's definitely me. I was a low carber before pregnancy and w/in several days of having high protein/low carb foods, I hardly craved sweets at all. Now to get back to that stage.. still a work in progress, lol.
  • I definitely feel ya on this subject. During week 17, I was only up 3 lbs, by week 21, I had ballooned up another 15... 15!! I blame it on a combo of bad food (not everyday) and a lot of the bad food had high sodium levels, so I'm thinking some of it is retaining water as well. It's been hard to stabilize even w/…
  • My husband is digging some things getting bigger as well, lol.
  • I** won't cry... I can't spell for nothing, either
  • We didn't care if it was a boy or girl, as long as we have a healthy baby. Bc I didn't find out until my 10th week we were pregnant and was never sick, everyone thought of a boy. I thought at first I wanted a girl, but having a boy would be a nice change since between 2 brothers, there are 6 girls and 1 boy (FYI- we are…
  • The 20 week mark is when I all the sudden bloated up 12lbs (In week 16, I was 259, dropped 5lbs and was at 254 in week 17) and by week 20 I was 266! Granted, I didn't eat the best of foods bc of birthday parties and being sick, but I couldn't imagine gaining 12lbs of actual weight! Still there and gained a few more…
  • Bc I am overweight, what I've read is to gain no more than 10-15lbs, but I'm 5'7 and I have so far gained about 20 and I'm 24 weeks (some could be bloat, though). My Dr didn't suggest a certain weight gain and didn't seem too concerned bc my GD test came back normal and I am otherwise healthy. He seems to be laid back and…
  • I may do that, but hearing that you experienced it as well does put my mind at ease some. Thank you
  • You're so not alone!! I will forget the Simplest thing. Half the time, I will describe something to someone bc I can't remember the name of it... Did that the other day when all I was trying to say was crockpot!
  • We told our immediate family members (parents, siblings, etc) when we got confirmation from the dr and we figured we were about 7 weeks along and we were going to wait to announce it to everyone once we neared the end of the first trimester. However, a few days later when we went for the first ultrasound, we were in fact,…
  • Thanks for the ideas. The greek yogurt/ranch sounds yummy!
  • This sounds exactly like my hubby and I. We got married in May 2011 and his contract ended for a position in Nov 2011 (thought it would be longer), was unemployed until March 2012 and got laid off from that position in Aug. 2012. We struggled, had to move back in w/ my parents bc w/ my salary alone we couldn't pay off all…
  • I have been overweight all my life. When I thought I was trying hard to lose weight, I actually wasn't; I was trying to take the shortcut so it wouldn't be so hard bc in my mind, it shouldn't be hard. In the Spring of 2012 was when it hit me. I tried a couple of diet pills and had adverse reactions to them and I got so…
