  • Hello all! I'm pregnant with my second and kinda scared about my and the baby's health (I'm 6 weeks). I lost 60lbs before I got pregnant with my first (still considered overweight at that point) and unfortunately gained it all back between my pregnancy and trying to breastfeed (milk didn't go up, but the weight did, ha).…
  • I would love to join as well
  • Sorry took so long to respond. Thank you for everyone for responding. I feel a bit more relieved that I don't feel so alone. I stopped breastfeeding when I returned to work bc with it so low anyway, it was harder to keep up after long periods without pumping. My hubby does take over on nights that he's home, but being a…
  • Hello all! My name is Lisa and the little guy in my profile pic is my son, Alexander Jude. He is 2 months old (St Paddy's baby) and is my first child. My pregnancy was unexpected. My hubby and I tried before and couldn't get pregnant bc I was very overweight. I had lost 60 lbs within a year and I went off the pill JUST to…
  • I litterally LOLed when I read the replies to my nipple shield comment only bc it was like everyone was screaming NOOOOOO  I forgot to mention, my SIL is a lactation consultant and she has been a huge help and support, giving me tips, what to do, not to do. I actually asked her about the nipple shield before I read…
  • Thank you ladies for your advice. I'm going to buy a nipple shield today to help get him back on the breast. He latches just fine, just ever since he got frustrated in the hospital of not getting enough bc it hadn't fully come in yet, he just doesnt care to go to it. I believe he can get enough now bc ifnInsqueeze, plenty…
  • I wish I had a lot of hand-me-downs, but being that this is the only second baby boy being born in our family and the only boy amongst my friends, we had to get a lot of our own. We didn't get everything that was on our list nor did a lot of people purchase what we had on the list. I expected not to receive big ticket…
  • I'm 35 weeks and our baby boy is measuring at 5lb 5 oz.
  • Yeah, I have a bit of an anxiety issue when it comes to being tested, lol. It's awful!
  • Thanks ladies! Yeah, I get worked up, but I try to tell myself they aren't going to kill me and it's for the best, lol. But I definitely agree w/ you Miranda_Mom, I'll be getting the NST every week as well and I see him again this week, so I know it should ease me more, knowing he's ok
  • It's ok, you're going to gain weight while pregnant. This is the time where you gain a bit more. I've gained almost 35lbs (32 weeks)... I don't like it, but I know the majority (hopeful that all) will come off, but if it doesn't, I can lose it again. I've been good about my food and exercising also. You haven't gained much…
  • Hope everyone is doing well! I'm 32 weeks now, went to the Perinatologist on Monday and baby boy is head down, 3 lbs 12 oz. That explains the pressure I'm feeling, so I started to take an easy w/ the exercising and doing light walks instead of my usual elliptical. Dr said his abdominal girth is small compared to his head…
  • I've got a new craving...Gooey cheesy things (like nacho cheese) and something spicy. Trying to watch the sodium, so off to the store this weekend for nacho cheese ingredients to make from scratch
  • I told quite a bit of people in my office, not everyone, but they all know.. so some big mouths spread the word for me:laugh: I don't really ever crave bacon... unless someone is already cooking it and I can smell it. (Now.. I will some how start to crave it)
  • What a birth story! That is amazing. Congrats, Mama! :flowerforyou:
  • Hello all! I'm doing well, just tired (like most of you  )... due March 24th... 9 weeks to go. Seems so far away, but then again, it'll be here before I know it! I lost 60lbs prior to being pregnant, but I haven't been as disciplined in counting calories since finding out.. I try to update throughout the day and I…
  • Generally you can keep up with your exercising and you'll naturally slow down as you get further along. I have my on and off days (31 weeks). I was doing Insanity in my first month of pregnancy (I didn't know at the time) and only reason I stopped was bc of my bad back, but I would've stopped anyway when I found out bc I…
  • Besides my usual sweet tooth cravings, my unusual craving was having a carbonated beverages, pizza, and tomato juice. Those have slowed down for me, but doesn't mean that it's still been hard to back away from, haha.
  • Hello there! I'm 30 weeks with my first  Feel free to add me if you'd like. I'm still exercising, but some days I have to take it easy. When I get closer to my due date, I'll probably just walk a lot (if I can handle it)
  • I used to not be a big water drinker either, but now I love it.. I even crave it sometimes. There are some waters I don't like to drink bc it tastes a little funny, but there's one brand that to me has no after taste whatsoever and that is Smart water. I love that stuff! Plus, it has electrolytes in it, so it helps your…
  • You can get it through the powders or bars if you want, but meat is a great source of protein, as well as dairy and nuts.
  • I'm @ 29 weeks and I still exercise. However, whenever I feel tired and uncomfortable, I take a break. I exercise 3-5x a week from 20-30min each session (Tight schedule w/ commuting... makes it hard to commit to 30min+), but I don't do intense training... mainly cardio and mix it up w/ 10-15 min of strength training. Today…
  • You can add me as well. Up 25lbs @ 29 weeks.. sucks, but I'm still putting in my healthy food/exercising effort :)
  • I wouldn't say I feel guilty, but I feel scared about the amount of weight I've put on since I've lost 60lbs before the pregnancy (25lb @ 29weeks), but I've been stabilizing as well for the past few weeks. Now, I am considered overweight/obese, but each time I ask my Dr about my weight gain, he seems fine w/ it bc I'm…
  • I used baby kale as it wasn't as tedious to take the stem off of them. Depending on how much kale, you can take a tsp to tbsp on Olive Oil and seasoning of your choice... Salt, Parmesan cheese, seasoning salt. Toss it around with your hands or use serving fork/spoon to toss around like a salad to make sure it's coated.…
  • Update: Week 28 - gained a total of 25lbs. I've been maintaining the weight gain probably close to 3-4 weeks. I workout in the mornings when I get to work and as long as I get the sleep I need, I'm actually not as hungry. I'm hoping to stay within the 25-30lb mark by the end of the pregnancy. Has anyone lost weight in…
  • I'm 28 weeks as well and I've gained 25lbs! It's been fluctuating due to eating certain foods, but I'm trying to avoid that and lose some of that extra weight before I gain too much more, hopefully stabilizing at 25-30lbs all together. I'm worried only bc with still being overweight, I'm not supposed to gain that much, but…
  • You can add me if you like. 27 weeks and have stabilized my weight gain to being about 25lbs.... it's been fluctuating depending if I have high sodium or good amount of carbs... trying to control the latter is certainly harder than it seems :)
  • Congratulations on everyone's success! I've had two successes happen this year. I lost 60lbs between May 2012-Aug 2013, which helped give my husband and I a surprise... we're expecting our first child, due March 2014 :)
