33 weeks today and weigh 137.8 which means I gained 2.4 pounds since last week and I haven't been porking out either. I was okay with 1-1 1/2 pound gain a week but this is way too much. I though it would slow down a bit as I got closer but it seems to be picking up for me. Starting weight 115 @ 5'4 do I've gained nearly 23 pounds already
Our start points are similar 115 lbs @ 5' 4.75". I'm up 27 lbs at 34 w 6 d. I've started to speed up on my gain as well.0 -

It's ok, you're going to gain weight while pregnant. This is the time where you gain a bit more. I've gained almost 35lbs (32 weeks)... I don't like it, but I know the majority (hopeful that all) will come off, but if it doesn't, I can lose it again. I've been good about my food and exercising also. You haven't gained much weight and as long as your Dr is ok w/ it, don't stress0 -

I can relate. I put on 10 more pounds with my third baby than I did with my first two pregnancies, putting me over 160lbs!!!!! (My prepregnancy weight hovers around 110lbs give or take.) It's really difficult to watch those number creep up, but just remember that baby needs it, and so will your body after you have baby. Not only does pregnancy take a lot out of you, but remember that once you have that baby, breastfeeding will literally MELT the weight off of you. If you're going to survive those first couple months, you NEED extra weight. This is the mantra I constantly had to remind myself of as the scale continually showed a higher number. It's hard to wonder what you're doing wrong or wonder why your body is hanging on to "more" than others. Rest assured, it will all fall off within the first two months after you've had the baby!!!
BTW- 23lbs at 33 weeks is NOTHING!!!! You're doing really, really well. It's not nearly as much weight as you think it is.0 -

Maintained this week which I'm glad of. I was not liking that 3 pound gain last week but now it looks like 3 pounds over 2 weeks which is A-OK. I can't believe I'm 14 days away from my due date. I will definitely be holding my little girl in 4 weeks time and I'm getting very excited!0 -

Congratulations on the new baby and amazing gain/loss! I've only gained 25 pounds and couldn't dream of dropping most of it in 10 days, that's phenomenal! Although with my first I had so much IV fluid from pitocin and an epidural so it took me a few days just to get rid of that weight.0 -
Congrats on baby Zara!
Seems to be a little bit of a growth spurt going on last minute here:

Proud to have only gained 28 pounds this pregnancy! However I'm still pregnant and still gaining. If I don't track my food I gain 2-3 pounds a week and if I do track I gain .5-1 pound a week. So I need to track but I guess increase my calories a bit so I don't go crazy.
Best of luck to all you ladies, hopefully I don't have to do this again next week!0 -

Having some undeniable early labor signs, so I thought I would weigh in today, in case I'm having the baby tomorrow!!!

For what it's worth- I had prodomal labour from 36 weeks onward. I was afraid I'd have him before 37 weeks, ruiningy chanes of a home birth, but I went to almost 43 weeks. ;-)Prepregnancy weight: 163.8 (or 167, depending on where we are starting)

He came yesterday, my water had been broken for a while and then contractions started... It was annoying because things slowed down after I was admitted. I would have preferred to do more laboring at home, but We probably wouldn't have made it to the hospital in time. My husband is really pushing for hb next time, maybe we will have better ins....For what it's worth- I had prodomal labour from 36 weeks onward. Delivered 2/21 at 40 weeks 2 days
Height: 5'7"
starting: 140.8 lbs
ending: 169 lbs (gained 28.2 pounds)
1 week postpartum: 158 lbs (lost 11)
So I have 17.2 more pounds to go. With my first I gained 36 pounds and lost 25.5 of them in the first week so I'm a little disappointed I didn't lose more this week with how little I gained and how much I've been breastfeeding, but o well. I wasn't swollen at all this pregnancy and now my ankles and feet look like plump sausages, hella annoying. Good luck to everyone, I hope you all have a great delivery and swift recovery!0
