It will probably grow by just planting the seed but will take a long time before it even gets to be a couple feet tall. Why not just go to a greenhouse or nursery and buy a small apple tree? Once you plant it, you will still be growing it.

Excellent loss so far! Your pictures are really an inspiration. Wish I'd have had someone take pictures of me at the start to compare to now. I know my clothes are getting too big on me but its hard for me to really "see" the difference. Keep up the good work!

I see a big discrepancy in weights for people who are wearing an XL. I am currently 218 and 5' 8" and there is NO WAY that I can fit into a regular ladies size XL unless I really want to look like I'm wearing a sprayed on shirt. Not my idea of looking good! Someone said that different brand names fit differently which is…

Not sure but I would think that packing house and hauling boxes about would count as exercise. It's not something that would be done as a 'normal' part of your regular days. I'm not sure about the BMR thing...

I really like spaghetti squash. I have even done it in the microwave - cut in half, remove seeds then place cut side down on a plate. I sometimes add a tiny bowl with a bit of water under the cut side then cook until you can push a fork through the skin easily. Usually about 5 to 8 minutes in my 1200w microwave. The size…

I can think of a lot of other things I would rather eat for 200 calories regardless of what is in pop-tarts. They never have held much appeal for me.

I like the analogy to a roll of paper towels and I can see it being very true. I have lost 25lbs so far and I am still in the same clothing as I was before. I do know that they are fitting me more loosely. I believe most of my weight loss to date has been from my belly area so my actual hips and top have not changed sizes…

I've thought of doing the little fridge in my room thing too. It drives me crazy when all my string cheese is gone or all the oranges or when someone eats half of a large yogurt in one sitting. Grrrrrr..... Does that make me possessive??

I believe tomorrow will be my 60th day. It has gone by quickly and I would never have lost this weight without using MFP to track what I eat. It is a fantastic tool and has really helped me keep on track.

I spent 4 hours waiting between tests at the hospital and the only place to sit was right next to the Tim Hortons in the lobby. So I resisted donuts, gigantic muffins, iced capachino and all the other high calorie coffees and stuff they sell! YAY ME!!

I'd love a good readymade spreadsheet to track my weight! Oh yah... I weigh every morning upon waking after going to the bathroom. I generally only enter my progress when the scale moves down unless I sustain a gain for at least 3 days, then I will enter the gain. That's happened a couple of times but I am happy overall…

As of August 7th Me: 7 Monster: 000 Binge free days in a row: 7 It looks like this challenge came at just the right time for me! I'm counting a binge as any out-of-control eating - like my dinner at the all-you-can-eat fish place.
-
I'm going to give this a try. Finding a good Ranch Dressing that is so low calorie is like gold!

Ok - I'll take the challenge! I had a couple of binge days in late July that stopped my steady loss and caused a gain. UGH! I need to get myself back in control. Starting on Aug 1 and as of Aug 2 Me Winning: 2 days Binge Monster: 0 days Now if I can just get my sodium intake down and the water intake up.....

One thing I will not miss at all is the apron of fat on my lower belly. I`ve carried that around far too long now. I can`t wait to see my collar bones again, and my hip bones too! I will be totally happy that it will take a lot less fabric to cover my body again!

Unfortunately, I have not noticed any change. Everything tastes great so I just have to control my portions!

I am aiming right now for 155 but I'm not sure what size that is now in Canada. It's been a while since I was even that weight. In my teens and twenty's I weighed between 135 and 145 and my family used to say that I had to stand twice to make a shadow because I was so thin. Back then, that was a size 13/14 but who knows…

I know setting goals is important so here goes.... I would like to reach ONEderland by Christmas. Current weight = 226.8 lbs Loss in past 45 days = 19 lbs Looking to weigh 199 (OR LESS hopefully) by Christmas so that is at least 28 pounds to go. Should be doable.

Here is what I would do... Use the Recipe function then enter whatever amount would be one serving of each cereal. The total servings would be 5 if you are using 5 types, 6 if mixing six types etc. Then, when you actually mix your cereals, keep the size serving of each type in mind so you come out with a balanced mix.…

I also believe that the more you have to loose, the longer it will take to be noticeable. It could also be possible that, like me, you let this current set of clothing become quite tight fitting to your body therefore we go through a point where they finally fit correctly before they start getting too large. Think of it in…

Have you read the sticky post http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/23912-links-in-mfp-you-want-to-read-again-and-again at the top of the General Diet and Weight Loss Help page? Not sure if anyone else has suggested some of the reading available on this board regarding weight loss and eating your exercise calories. Check out the posts listed here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/23912-links-in-mfp-you-want-to-read-again-and-again and also here:…

i`m not sure if it`s accurate but I think it`s a great tool! It`s encouraging to see where I could be by keeping up with what I have been doing.

I had ice cream yesterday too but I was still under my daily calories. Ice cream is not a ''BAD'' food. It's just a higher calorie, higher fat choice. I track everything I eat, no matter if it will put me way over for the day. If you can`t be honest with yourself, what is the point? Besides, if you have just one day going…

It may seem strange but it could very well be that your body has gone into starvation mode. There is a very good article on this topic at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/538381-in-place-of-a-road-map Eating more could actually be what you need to do.

Hi - I just started here this week. I'll be turning 60 in the fall. Please add me to your friends!

I can't wait to see my flappy arms go... also, my front overhang (apron) has GOT to go!!

I've just jointed MFP a couple of days ago. I'll be turning 60 in a couple of months and I'd sure like to celebrate this birthday with a lighter body! I`ve been on and off of diets for the past 30+ years. When I stopped smoking in 1981, I gained 100 lbs over the following few years. I managed to loose a good amount on the…

This sounds different but worth giving a try!
