  • I am so sorry about your accident. How many calories are you getting in? are you working out? Do you drink enough water. Along with the Bypass/Sleeve/lapband we must follow a strict diet and exercise to lose weight, and my doctors recommend logging everything we eat. We follow a low fat high protein diet. We must get in at…
  • I do strength training 3 times a week normally, and do cardio 6 times a week. I had a arm lift in May and still waiting to get cleared to do weights again. My trainer said that weights is the best way to lose the fat, and I don't worry about what that scale says as my size is so much smaller.
  • So glad you are on the transplant list! Sounds like you did go through the wringer! May the rest of your journey be smooth sailing. You are a gorgeous girl! Good luck!
  • I got 4 exercise sessions in this week, Stayed within calorie count except for Tuesday I added calories as I wasn't feeling well and added more protein. Weight was down the next day. Maybe I needed it.
  • Oh no. I take dayquil and have no issues. I hope all gets better for you soon.
  • I had saved for years for this surgery as I knew I would have it if I ever got the weight off. It was 7,767 it would have been 8600 but due to some discounts by booking and paying in certified funds, I was able to save. I hear you, I was doing kick and when doing the punches the arms would flap around like crazy. There are…
  • I missed Zumba last night, I was having some vertigo and was not feeling well :(
  • I have the same issue. I did the arm lift and that was amazing but the Dr said I have the dreaded thiknee, where the thigh pools around the knee. I do wear spanx pantyhose and they help quite a bit but I still have that fat knee issue. Dr said they would have to do a incision along inside of thigh to tighten that and then…
  • you all look amazing in your suits
  • congrats! what a feeling to be normal

  • What a stupid thing to say to you. I have had cancer, and the surgery was awful and the treatment thereafter wasn't a cakewalk either. WLS was a walk in the park compared to that. We all know that if we didn't follow the plan and work out we wouldn't be where we are now.
  • Had to take some more pants in to get altered. Size 8's in some cases are too big in the waist. My husband lost me in the crowd at an event because he followed the wrong woman. He then found me and laughed and said I was so small he couldn't find me.
  • My goals for this week are: 1. Drink water 2. get all my exercise classes I plan in. (hopefully no family member will need me) 3. get some ab work in. 4. support my grandkids in their activities.
  • Muscle gained? water retention possible due to the heavy workout? Barbhat13, gain won't stay for long.
  • I am in. oh what are pressups?
  • I use the fitbit flex, it is hard to charge at times you have to reset it. I got mine at Bestbuy and got the warranty, I have had to take it back and get a new one every 3 to 6 months. Thank goodness I had the warranty I get a new one and up the warranty so I have it for the next one. to reset the unit plug it in and take…
  • Yes I was freezing for a while, my body is finally over that.
  • I sometimes would stall for 3 weeks, but measurements would go down. Then on the 4th week I would lose like crazy. Hang in there no matter what, do what is needed and you will get to your goal. Don't worry about the scale it is just one way of measuring your progress, clothes size is a better indicator when the scale…
  • I went from a size 20 - 22 to a size 6-8, I never dreamed I would get this small.
  • you are doing so great!
  • Amazing pictures.

  • My plan allows for 2 cups of low-fat or skim milk a day. I was at 850 calories per day at 4 months out. And my doctor also wants us to eat protein and not drink it, but the 2 cups of milk is allowed. Milk does have sugar in the form of lactose but it is a natural sugar. My doctor allows us to have no more that 15 grams of…

  • Before I started this journey I was being treated for RA, my hands were swollen, hips sore, and totally worn out. When I gave up sugar to see if I could before I had the sleeve, I started feeling better, the inflammation in my blood tests came down, the hands and hip started feeling better. I am off my medication for RA.…
  • I did Zumba last night, Tonight it is back to Kickboxing. I took my grand kids to the pool, but, alas I am not cleared to get in the water yet. 4 more weeks! I lost this week, and didn't try all that hard. Trying to maintain my weight as I am at my goal, but heck 10 more pounds won't hurt.
  • Did kick last night! one workout done. Doing Zumba tonight. Drink water today
  • Good for you! amazing success!
  • Good for you. I can't eat more in a sitting either. I add protein bars, apples and almond butter, or greek yogurt, I don't know how you can eat more in a sitting... I just added another snack to get to my calorie goal. Maybe you could bring a protein bar to school.
  • I am at my goal weight, 14 months after VSG. I eat around 1000 a day, and I am staying steady, but I am female and over 60, I work out 5 to 6 times a week, Dr. said I can go up to 1500 but I too, am afraid of gaining.
