Hmm-- I know I've seen charts that work exactly like bodyfat percentage charts. You know, the ones where you take three measurements and look it up on the chart, blah blah blah. Anyway, IIRC, you measure the elbow, the... wrist? And something else. With a fat caliper. And that's supposed to give you an idea of where your…

*Bookmarking. That's an interesting workout. I might have to try that myself.

I couldn't really tell you what's going on physiologically, but someone suggested I try switching over to a 5x5 once when I'd been stalled out on overhead press and bench for several months. I had to drop down the weight I was moving at first, but was surprised to find I pretty much walked through my previous ceiling after…

I use a hybrid as well-- it feels like a good balance overall. But I'll switch over to a 5x5 occasionally for a few months to break a plateau or just shake things up.
-
You'll absolutely build muscle on a 5x5 program, doing nothing but the exercises described in them. There's no need to do any isolation work in addition to it either (imho), as your body is going to be fully taxed just recovering from your heavy, compound lifts. But those programs are primarily designed for strength…

Your calorie burn with a weight routine is all over the place. It's going to vary widely depending on your intensity, what you're doing, how big you are, etc. I usually just estimate a weights workout somewhere around 200 calories. I know it's lower some days, heavier on others, but that seems to average out about right.
-
Yep, as others said, same as everyone else. The big compound lifts. But don't worry about how your weight compares to other people-- the weight just has more leverage on your muscles than it has on theirs, and you have to move it further.
-
Same here. I tried osmosis but it took forever and my finger tips were really the only part that looked soggy.
-
First, you look great-- you don't need to lose anything, imho. If there's a specific bodyfat range you want to reach, you can get an accurate read of much weight that will amount to by getting your bodyfat measured, then doing the math to sort out the number of pounds to reach that percentage. There are calculators online…

Hmm... if someone has always been in shape, how can they be 'naturally fat'?
-
Hard to say... can't see the second one's body.
-
D'oh, double posting.
-
The first one is Batman, isn't it? *edit-- I mean the real life Batman, not the actor.

I was going to (just got a new squat rack), but there are cookies shaped like little Christmas trees here. First I need to eat all of the cookies shaped like Christmas trees.
-
Those are better anyway, imho. The bolt-in ones limit your range of motion a bit more. This is the one I've got, but I think they're all about the same, really:…

It's all about calories in/calories out. A walk will do just fine. Watching television will do just fine, too-- as long as you're in a calorie deficit.
-
I can't be aggravated unless I know what they were talking about. If it was Duck Dynasty, tell them I hate them.
-
Does anyone actually work out solely to be more "generally fit"? I mean, if weight lifting/running/etc. made absolutely no difference in a person's appearance, no one would be in the gym.
-
I only lift for the sex.
-
Huh, I didn't know they'd done a third one. I might just give that a shot. I really enjoyed the first p90x a couple of times through. Still do the stretch routine regularly. It's a good one. And I guess this makes me weird, but I liked Horton's chatter, lol.
-
Yep. Why would anyone act superior to new people at the gym, anyway? It's not like you can be 'the best at exercising'. :p
-
lol, I like this philosophy.

The whole idea of "clean eating" is so nebulous that everyone has a different definition. Some of them fit your description, while others just can't hit their macros within their caloric limitations without eating mostly foods people tend to classify as "clean" for most of the day.
-
Yup yup.

These: And these... Eugh... god, I hate those things. One crawled into my house once (the potato bug, not the crab), and I could hear it walking around on the tile from the next room. EUGH..bfdbjdnkdsbgnjn

White Cracker. ... lol.
