This is just off the top of my head, but here goes. Get a roasted chicken, take all meat off and put into tupperware in fridge. Get lettus (I like romaine) and any other veges you like: cut, and wash in spinner, spin, add a paper towel, put whole spinner in fridge. (the paper towel helps keeps the salad fresher). In a jar…

I posted too quickly. So there that Middle Eastern dish baba ganoush. If you like hummas... Then there's this favorite chinese spicy eggplant recipie that I love. But that should be saved for a day when you need to add calories to your daily intake. But it is de-lish. And then there are all these wonderful panini…

I have one name for you: Baba ganoush. Look it up, love it, drool, yumm.

Slieber - your kitty picture is just too cute. I want to reach out and snuggle him/her.

Chocolate's great. But it's the darker, more pure stuff that's good. It's the sugar, and other artificial stuff they add to chocolate (and then call it chocolate) that's bad for you. Love chocolate.

yummmmmm. That sounds soooo good.

Love good left overs. Yummy food, no work.

Here's mine: silken tofu, frozen fruit, a little juice, wheatgerm, soy protein powder and a banana. It's very jummy. You don't taste the tofu, but it's very good for you, and gives the right kind of smooth consistancy to the shake.

I like and use the pasta pentola. There is also the Chinese bamboo steam baskets (you can stack them on top of one another and steam at the same time).

I used to be a big gadget fiend, but since we live in an older, smaller house now (apparently people in the 1920s didn't have a lot of stuff to store) I've been on a cleanse of gadgets. Here are the gadgets that I don't use, but you might: milk frother (simulates frothed milk without the machine) Mandoline (slices very…

I agree. Headaches that don't go away combined with a single swollen leg that is not fracture related are a dangerious combination. Don't let some guy at the ER (who's probably sleep deprived) dismiss the symptoms. Your personal physician will be more compelled to take your symptoms seriously.

Bicep veins are good right? I've only seen bicep veins on body builders.:drinker:

I schedule my workouts before the yoga class. I give myself 15 minutes between. Doing the yoga afterwards, it's like getting a massage after a hard workout. I feel sooooo good afterwards, and I really think it heals some of the stress I put on my body (especially after running). For me, it's not boring. But by the end of…

So this morning I'm back down to 137.5 which makes me feel better. How could the weight difference be that much. I weighed 141 at the beginning of the week, and now back to 137.5? I thought it was TOM, but it didn't come (although I was ravenous on Tuesday, and had terrible backaches - a sure sign for me that TOM has come…

A big congrats!!!! Just in time for a fun filled birthday.

I roast veges twice a week (what ever is in season locally). I chop then roast with Pam Olive Oil spray. Then I make quinoa, mix it all up with chopped herbs and chopped tomatoes and 1 tbs of some really good oil (probably OIive) and 2 tbs of some vinegar. It's good for lunch or snacks for 4-5 days. It's in a big bowl in…

Mine came in the mail yesterday, but it's a F6. I read through the manual, and need to do that again. I think there are lots of Polar users at MFP.

Azdak. I was going to call Polar tomorrow, but maybe you know the answer. Would I be able to wear the HRM in a yoga class where we sometimes lie on our stomachs? I'm not particularly big at 138 lbs, but I'm still a little worried. I did want to see what I was burning in the yoga class, however. That one I think is way off…

Have you tried knitting in front of the T.V.? I'm so bad at it, that I have a hard time putting down the needles because I know I'm going to lose my place. At least it will keep you engaged and your hands otherwise occupied.
-
Great idea. I actually have to get some kitty litter, so maybe from now on I'll get that first, walk around for 30 minutes.
-
Thanks Azdak. That's a lot of information for me to absorb, and I'm still thinking about it. I didn't know about cardiovascular drift, but now that I think back on my runs, that makes a lot of sense. I guess, although the HRM is not a perfect measure, it's the best I can do for now. And if the Polar tends to underestimate…

My impression is that it's not cheating if you make space for what you want. If you're dying for that ice cream, then make sure there are enough calories for you to have some (like extra exercising). Don't do it on a regular basis, but if you deny yourself something that you really, really, really want, then you also have…

Been thinking about trying the eliptical machine again. Tried it once, it was hard. It was like a stair master, but encouraged you to go faster.

Thanks, but really, isn't it a matter of how long your legs are? The longer the legs, the easier the speed. Also, I had to build up to that speed when I first started. Every two times, I added a little more speed. Maybe I'm just not very good at taking compliments. :blushing: Thank you. I just know that I'm really a…

Well, at least I know now. I put the level at random at level 4. So sometimes the incline is crazy hard, other times, it's like I'm catching my breath. I am a bit disappointed that I'm not burning as much as I thought I was.

They're all 'fruits of the earth' to me. I've always considered Tomatoes fruit, but treat them as vegetables. Although I do know a tomato-tart dessert with a custard filling that is yum, yum, yum.

I too am a 4-boob woman. Unfortunately, they do not have a bra for me (I used to be the person who fitted women into their bras). Don't get me started on the lack of selection for bras (i.e. women with small boobs and larger backs have nearly no selection - some how the industry thinks that women start at size B,…

Are you just going out for drinks? If it's a dinner thing, then I usually just go for water with lemon and save my calories for the food. But, if you want an alcoholic drink, then what about a coffee drink with a 1/2 shot of something, like Irish Whiskey? There are sweeter liquors you can add to coffee like Baileys or…
