I am on my second time doing the *tkins diet, and the first time I lost 50 pounds in four months. Then I gained 20 back. Now I've lost 2 pounds so far, but I just started. I would not recommend eating any of the Atkins bars during induction because they mislead you about how many carbs are in them. And once you eat one you…

I'm 5'4", and my weight loss goal is to be 135, but in high school I was 105, which would be good too. I'll settle for 145 if I can't lose any more than that. Right now I'm at 173. (I started at 208).

Hey freew67, you're a hater, and I don't appreciate that. Quit being the myfitnesspal police!:explode:

I've given up all breads, pasta, cakes, cookies, anything with sugar in it basically. I don't miss them though.

I don't have the capabilities to put pictures up on this myfitnesspal.

I did bouts of cardio (walking) with stationary bike exercise, and used the Atkins program. It really works!:smooched:

I'm exactly 42 years old, and I have lost 28 pounds so far! This is so great! I love my 40's!

Yesterday I didn't eat my exercise calories back, and I lost a pound, so that says something!

My goal is to get to 135-140 pounds. It will take a while, but the pounds have been shedding off with the Atkins program that I'm on, and I've lost 26 pounds in 35 days. I also have gained more muscle mass, and will continue that. Then I will, of course, maintain my weight by exercising a little every day.

Yes, I enter my weight and my age.

Thanks for saying this. I am too considered "obese", soon to be in the "overweight" category, and I think I look just fine. The inches keep coming off, and the weight on the scale is too, slowly.

I'm YOUNG! I'm only 42 years old!!!!!!!!!

You're exactly right!:drinker:

Sometimes. When you starve yourself, your body keeps the fat cells you have. If you exercise off all of the calories you've eaten, you've starved yourself.

I am 5'4", and I am of medium to large build (that's an understatement). I wear 16-18 size pants. My goal weight is 135. I have no kids so I haven't gained weight from having them.

Drink green tea- it's a natural diuretic, and it burns some calories to boot!
-
Have a day of rest, because your muscles need time to heal.
-
You should restrict your carbs aka the Atkins diet. More protein, less carbs.
-
Actually, some caffeine in moderation spurs on weight loss, because it burns a few calories because it raises the heart rate.

I'm in.

I played the piano, flute and drums.

No, but when I was in Minneapolis, I saw two people who looked like gazelles (No kidding!). It was wierd.
-
No, I meant like the next morning when you step on the scale.
-
No, you have to eat something. Just pop in a few strawberries or something.

I hear you.

I gained about 30 pounds over 6 months, and my chest just expanded with the weight gain. Now I'm afraid I'm going to lose them when I lose the weight. I guess you can't have everything. I've already lost 18 pounds, which I'm happy about, and I am a curvy girl, and I love my curves. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the…

I have no tattoos, and will not ever be getting any!
