Wow I had no idea about this - interesting... is it accurate? http://arcticterntalk.org/2015/07/12/redcurrants-are-still-illegal-in-some-usa-states-why-and-is-this-reasonable/

Redcurrants - you know them?
-
Likewise - eat as naturally as I can with the odd hormonal splurge on Doritos/veggie sausages etc. Eating like my Granny used to feed me :)
-
Works for all my herbs - I grab a bunch from my allotment once a week and put them in a vase like flowers :)
-
Don't use food as treats. You're not a dog
-
I have loads of lettuce too and a bit stuck what to make with them ....

My personal belief is that the Western world eats way too much meat to be good for us and the planet. But....that doesn't mean you have to go full blown veggie or vegan. IMO limiting meat to half the week as you said seems a good idea :) I hope it works for you.

All sounds yummy - love the summer produce :)
-
That sounds yummy - I call those haskap things honey berries! I have a bush (planted this year) and it hasn't fruited - I was told it was self fertile - should I get another next year? x

If you can look at the picture of the whole month. Be proud of what you have achieved and try not to let one day matter. I know for some it's easier said than done but really one day is a very small amount of time in a whole month. Even if you did this every month for a whole year that's only twelve days in a full annual!…

Thanks Sunday is going to be very busy in the kitchen!

Those bake things look yummy and I have most of the ingredients :) Is flaxseed meal ground flaxseeds 'cause I have that...

I'm checking those out now thankyou - there are so many! I'm cool with my health but thankyou for the concern. I've had it for years and I can judge when I'm overdoing it - I just stop :)

I'm not really a fan of the term superfood either but I understand what you mean, which is what is important. For me it's red berries every time. Love them all!

Tofu? I eat a lot in soups with my veggies. The water base is very filling and it's normally so hot I can't wolf it down so more satisfying

Thanks for the suggestions. I went out today picked a load of veg off the allotment, roasted a load of roots and cold stored the salad stuff. I have about a years supply of wraps now in the freezer so I'm sorted on bed days. I'm going to freeze some rice and cooked beans too. :)

Thanks - they were :) I love how veggies have different names across the world - never heard chinese cabbage called wong bok before, I had to look it up!

The Asia thing.... yaks live in Asia and are milk animals....

I get this too. I can trough a family size pizza and a sticky pudding and not bat an eyelid. The only thing I have tried that works is to leave the house, go on a massive walk/cycle so I can't have food and then come home and stuff my face. Then that mahoosive foodfest doesn't feel so bad. I earnt it ;)

I think farty meat would give anybody a bad belly ;)
-
Bubble and squeak. Easy and yummy :)

If I buy veg/fruit and I can afford it I buy organic. Not just for the sprays that are allowed/not allowed but over here (UK) organic also has animal welfare stipulations. Is it the same in the US? Can you grow some stuff outside OP? You only need poo and washing up liquid then :)
-
Tandoori or tikka from the Indian? That's cooked dry. With rice or bread? Would your stomach handle that?
-
Hey OP - I'm virtually dairy free for health reasons too. My milk of choice is Alpro soya, but I like oat milk too (just a supermarket brand) - they are both creamy which I like in coffee and with my porridge. I don't know if you can get it in the US? There is a sweetened and unsweetened variety. Alpro do some nice vanilla…

I like crunchy things so sometimes I make crackers with lots of seeds in - I've called them Omega Crunchies :) Dead easy to make and silly cheap - flour and seeds of your choice .
