The iifym site puts my TDEE -20% as 50 calories higher than MFP; the scooby site puts it 42 calories lower. So I think I'll stick with what MFP says, as it's right about in the middle.

My first weigh in of the year, on 01/06/13, I actually lost 2.0. Gained the .4 the following week, but I'm hopeful for a loss this week!

1. When and where is it this year? SRD in Springfield, MO on April 5 & 6 2. What is the theme? No idea.... 3. Are you going? Since it's just a couple miles from my house, yes!

Loss 2 pounds over the holidays and got a charm--yay! Gained .4 this week, but it's my time of the month. I ate really well and well below calorie goals last week, so I'm hoping next week will show a good loss.

Mayo, gravy, beer, bacon (don't throw things at me for that one--people usually do!); and Cheetos, Doritos, Fritos, or any similar type of snack chip (including regular potato chips, although I do like baked ones). Oh and I'm not a huge fan of pork or beef, but I do crave a hamburger every now and then. I could easily live…

I have had PCOS since I was around 20 as well, so over 20 years. It's definitely tough to lose weight. I need to lose 85 lbs. at least. Anyone can feel free to add me.

I'm so glad to hear reasonable people on here! I eat fast food, but I try to make sure it has some redeeming nutritional value. For example, I often get a grilled chicken sandwich without mayo... around 300 calories and plenty of protein. Yet when I talk about food like that, people still respond with, "You need to change…

Thanks everyone! I'm definitely going to give it a go tomorrow and will update you on how it goes.

I too was diagnosed with PCOS so long ago that I don't remember exactly when it was, but it's been about 20 years. I've been on metformin for the past several years. I have a lot of stomach issues with it (not sure if it's from the metformin or IBS, though), but never lost any weight since taking it. I had a friend who…

This is great! Thanks so much!

The problem is that the kind of food I really like is not food that I can have at home. I like Korean and Japanese cuisine... love sushi. The other problem is that I don't cook. Even if I did, I probably never would. If I'm not motivated enough to eat something that's already prepared, I'm certainly not going to be…

Thanks, Karen! I used to do that, eat small amounts throughout the day, so I need to try to get back to doing that. You reminded me to get eggs and yogurt... those are things that are good to have available. I'll put them on my grocery list!

Summer of 2004. I honestly don't think I look much different, though. There are very few photos of me that are decent enough to put as my profile pic!

I too have fibromyalgia and would love to have more friends who understand. Anyone can feel free to add me. I am also unfamiliar with the term FODMAP....

Thanks. Not helpful, but thanks.

That's awesome! Mine is in the mail--can't wait until it arrives!
-
Wow, that's awesome! Keep it up!!!
-
You can definitely see the difference. Great job!

161 calories for 18 minutes is awesome! That's around 500 calories an hour. Pretty good burn, I'd say. Don't be discouraged. That's 161 calories more than you would have burned sitting on the couch. :)
-
Karen, I have both a HRM and a FitBit. The HRM will probably be more accurate as far as the calories you've burned doing a certain activity, but the FitBit does so much more. I don't use my HRM any more... just too much hassle to put on the strap and all that. I go in and look to see how many calories FitBit says I've…

That was me too, but in the U.S. So glad I don't do that any more! I love teaching French, but to adults. :)
-
Sounds familiar! I'm in adult education as well. Didn't work out for me (his mother went to a fortune teller who said that we couldn't see each other for three years, lol! It wasn't true love anyway, so it was was all right. :) Glad it worked out for you, though!

I teach English to international students at a university, and GED classes at a community college. I also teach French online from home.

I love PB and eat it every day! A spoonful really helps to stave off the hunger until I can eat a proper meal.

Such a great job in 365 days... wow! I would be so happy to get down to 195, but to get down to your current weight is amazing!
