  • Those seamstresses can work wonders, I wouldn't worry about it. I was in the same situation, the sample size did up but was snug like yours. I ordered mine in the same size against their recommendations and had to sign a waiver that they did recommend the size larger. I have until the end of january to lose 5 - 10lbs. I…
  • @ liz That dress is very nice and elegant. You'll look like a bombshell on your wedding day. You are right though, spanx all the way! Celebrities wear them and you wouldn't think that they would. I wore a slip that was a body armour/spanx type of garment on the weekend when I went dress shopping. I di dn't want to assume…
  • Hey I am getting Married March 9, 2013. There is a group for this setup, It would be nice to get some more active members keeping it going. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/6527-2013-brides
  • A lot of people swear by a cheat day, my friend has lost 10 lbs and I'm not sure where she lost 10lbs from because she was fairly thin to begin with, and she did it with one cheat day a week where she would eat/drink whatever she wants.
  • I've only looked online at dresses. I don't want to spend a lot so I should stop looking so I don't fall in love with something I can't afford. I want to actually start shopping to try on and buy in january and that only gives me 2 months. Since my date is March 9th.
  • You'll still lose if you don't eat back all your calories as long as you eat a healthy range for yourself. Over the years I've lost and kept off over 120 pounds this way. I'm sorry OP, but I don't know what qualifies you as an expert in the matter. You've lost 20lbs which is a great success but you still have a long road…
  • Hey no problem! It's not easy but hopefully one day it's just everyday life for us. :) My fiance will lay on the couch while I do a work out dvd and say that he's enjoying the program because he loves the ladies in the videos. LOL. ;)
  • I think it's tough to be motivated for just the wedding because it's a huge amount of pressure. The more I pressure myself for that day it makes it super stressful for me. I am finding that setting smaller goals and focussing on health seems to help for me. The more pressure I put on myself the less motivated I am. It's…
  • Exercise: 1. Find something that you enjoy. Do you enjoy the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I used to do this one all the time because it was quick but I didnt' enjoy it. I really enjoy the strength training portions of Chalean Extreme so I have no problem doing them. I actually look forward to it. That works for me…
  • My Goals for September were: 1. Keep up my running base so I can repeat my 10K running clinic and make progress when it starts again at end of September. 2. Complete the Toronto Zoo 5K race. 3. Try to stay on track with food during allergy season. <-- completely failed at this one. 4. Start my fall work out plan. Boot…
  • Hello Ladies, hopefully it is not too late to join. I believe that I am getting married March 9th, 2013, we are still working out the arrangements for the venue. I recently found a place that is very nice and actually within my small budget. I didn't realize that you can save some money if you marry off season. Anyhow,…
  • nothing is more motivating! How tall are you? YOu look great at 148!
  • Are you properly measuring portions to calculate your calories? It really comes down to diet.
  • I live well above the poverty line and don't have money for luxury items. I must be doing something wrong.
  • Serving healthier food options is not starving children. At schools the focus of the meals should be nutrition. If parents want to treat their children with high calorie less nutritiuos meals outside of schools then sobeit. Won't teaching them how to eat to live now while they are young help them to not have to join MFP in…
  • Personally I would go with the Alpine chicken, the incredients sound safe as well as how it's cooked plus mashed potatoes are easy on the stomach. I avoid salad even though I normally eat it because it's more difficult to digest.
  • YES! Great post! I actually need to do this all my bras are baggy on me right now but I'm trying to hold out until I am closer to goal weight.
  • What most people don't know is that the cup size gets bigger by band size as well. A C cup for a 36 band is smaller than a C cup for a 38 band. Therefore it makes sense that if you haven't lost any weight from your breasts that you would need to go up cup sizes if you are going down in band sizes.
  • 1. Stay focussed and continue to log MFP. The good and the bad. 2. Log even the long weekend coming up. Even just on paper. 3. Lose 5 more lbs.
  • I agree with this post about finding the right thing to do. What has worked for me and turned me into a person who LOVES to work out now and gets EXCITED about it was the 3 things below: 1. Find the exercise that is going to work for you and that you like to do. 2. Schedule it, if you schedule it like you have to go to…
  • I love cottage cheese with tomatoes and pepper! I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me.
  • 1 oz full fat cheese, cucumbers, fruit, 6 almonds, sunflower seeds, greek yogurt. <- I am hungry today, definitely should have had greek yogurt instead of the regular, that will show me for being cheap at the grocery store.
  • I don' t find that most fruit is a lot of calories any how. I wouldn't substitute it out for a cookie that is for sure. If anything I would eat the fruit and then go over eating the cookie if I had to have it because the fruit is good for you. Really, have you heard of anyone getting fat because they eat too much fruit.…
  • I agree with this. Make slow gradual changes. One thing at a time. I found once I started tracking and keeping to my calorie limit I started to eat cleaner just so I could eat more. Doing too much at once could mean failure and you don't want to do that. Best way to start is to start logging what you eat now. You'll see…
  • What about over all health? You can be slim and still be very unhealthy. There is more to eating a healthy diet than just weight loss.
  • I know you didn't mention adidas but I really like them. I over pronate a lot therefore I have to buy shoes with a pronator in them but they of course have all types. I also have wide feet and bunions and they work well. They wear really well too.
  • This is the most difficult time of year for me to get out and exercise. I normally and up and ready to get out there. I love to get my work out in. However, during allergy season I have a tough time getting out there. Right now it's a battle within to even get dressed to go for a run because I feel so fatigued. I would…
