Try diluting your flavored drinks (soda/crystal light) with water. I dilute mine with at least one part water. (Sodas - 2-3 times ) There is plenty of sweetener in both to taste good even when diluted. The less sweet these drinks taste, the less you will crave other overly sweetened and salted foods. That's what I have…

Just a Thought: Reduce the number of calories one consumes so one doesn't need to take on a part time job to lose them and flush good money down the toilet. With your food savings buy useful things that will be around for more than 24 hours...

Your breaths should span running 2-3 steps. If you are breathing at a fast pace (or panting) you need to take deeper breaths and slow your breath rate down. You should feel your abdomen moving (belling breathing) to get a deep breath. Otherwise you are just filling a small portion of your lungs which isn't enough to…

- Finding courses posted on websites to see parts of the city you find yourself in: architecture, landscaping, parks, business parks... - Realizing others work (steep) hills into their runs and they aren't that bad once you start working them into your training runs.

I typically get multiple years on pairs of shoes. Last year I bought a pair of Asics specifically for running. Have about 3 months on them (170 miles). The sole around the outside on both shoes is breaking down. Cannot use them for running any longer and they are uncomfortable for walking also. They were ~ $50.

Cutting back on processed foods that contain a lot of sugar/salt is also an appetite suppressant. You will feel full and not likely to over eat. If you over eat, you pack on a couple hundred calories. A lot of processed food you may inhale a couple hundred calories. Most overly salted/sugared foods are manufactured this…

I typically do not eat all my calories on my workout days. I find I use more calories on my rest days so I put part of the rest day calories on the workout day that I didn't use the full allotment. Otherwise if you leave calories on the table, you are consuming less calories than planned for. Since the calories are planned…

I saw a recipe for sauces to put on chicken dishes n MFP recently. It used sugar free apricot preserves, chicken broth, and black pepper. I tried it and liked it. It reminded me of orange sauce on General Tso's chicken. You can play with the ingredients to get the Chinese taste you are looking for.
