  • This is sounds wonderful. I was retired for 15 months, but then asked if I would cover a maternity leave, which has now stretched into a permanent part time job. I go three days a week and am enjoying the social aspect of this and the extra money, for sure. I will know when I am done though, as I did enjoy those few months…
  • Hey, don't give up this site, it is so helpful, even when you have been bad, it keeps you accountable. Good luck on the full time college student thing. I finished my Associate's Degree about 4 years ago, and it was hard, but awesome. Of course, I only took one class per semester - but still I got it done. Good luck on…
  • Reach down deep inside and find the spirit and fight you need and do what's best for you and your children. That would mean getting healthier and yes losing some weight, but not for HIM, for YOU. I would just not talk about it, but do what you need to do to take care of you. I am sorry you are in this type of relationship…
  • Be glad for you to add me, I always come here for my motivation and encouragement. Good Luck!
  • I agree that 7 lbs is a lot in one month. Sounds great to me. I think you are being too hard on yourself. And your end goal seems awfully low to me. Good luck on your journey.
  • Hi, Prevention magazine had suggested in an article about weight loss, to drop your carbs to 50 g for two days per week and that over a 6 week period of time you would notice a fairly decent weight loss (I believe they mentioned 9 lbs average). Of course, the other days are to be spent on healthy eating, but you up the…
  • Count me in as well - I know exactly what I would like to lose my Christmas and that is enough time to allow it to happen. Thanks.
  • You know, I read books, magazine articles, things on the internet, just anything to keep me motivated. The other day I noticed my reflection in the mirror and decided I really do need to lose about 15 lbs. I am going to try in earnest to do that by end of the year. I have started a yoga class and that is great, go two…
  • You really don't have that much weight to lose, but don't be discouraged, keep on trying. I only have about 14 lbs to lose (I am older and only 5'1" tall), but I yo yo sometimes, depending on trips, or functions out eating, etc. I have decided to make my goal to lose 3/4 lb a week and by November 1, I should be at my goal.…
  • What a great job you have done. Good for you.
  • Hey, there, just try different things that are good for you, and eat slowly. I have treats, but cut them in half or skip a day without any. Also, I learned from a friend of mine who had stomach issues, thank goodness I don't, to eat delicately. She brought scanty amount of food to work and spread it all out. It might be…
  • That is amazing, congratulations to you. You are obviously on the right track. Keep it up!!
  • Hey, we are in Virginia and due to get the same staring in a few hours. Then the snow starts. I am putting pork chops in the slow cooker and having a baked potatoe half for later. My problem is the dish of brownies I made yesterday - they seem to be calling me. Yikes! Hope neither of us get much bad Weather. After all it…
  • This is so very touching and I wish you only the best as you get back on the right path today. You certainly have sad issues, and so sorry about your sister. Sounds as if you have been tremendously successful so far and I have no doubt, that you will continue to be.
  • I think that is a pretty lofty goal. Don't know how much weight you have to lose, but still, 2 lbs a week on a consistent basis, to me, would be hard. I would go more for 1- 1.5 lbs. That still would be awesome. Also, don't know your age, older means harder to lose, and that's the boat I am in. Good luck.
  • You know, I have been there also, lost some weight, and then for some reason, go back to the old habits and then the weight comes back. I have recently started Yoga classes - beginner classes, as I am new to this - and I find that the total inward reflection on your body and how awesome it is and how hard it works for you…
  • Count me in also. Was doing good until August, then whew, stopped counting and stopped walking as much and now Christmas! Weakness - definitely sweets! Have done well today so far and am drinking lots of water.
  • Hi, I am also 5'1", but am about 20 years older than you. My healthy BMI puts me in the 132 range. That is my goal. I have about 12 lbs to lose to get there. But they are hard ones, though, as I have a sweet tooth and have to be careful every day.
  • Hi, I am restarting also. Not really have been paying attention to my diet for the last month and just came off vacation, which is always a challenge. Therefore, before I do any more "damage", I am totally getting serious again. I feel better when I eat properly. I eat protein for breakfast, though try not to eat eggs too…
