  • Yay! Me too, actually - I didn't think it'd get better so quickly. Are you going to do every day or take rest days? I was going for every day but a part of me thinks I'm crackers ...
  • Let me know how your calfs feel tomorrow, LOL!
  • People 'put all the weight back on' when they stop lifting weights --- IF --- they continue eating the same amount of food as they were while lifting. That's all. Don't be scared of it.
  • Haha! That's what I found! There are a few nice ones out there, but a few gritty nasty ones, too! Check out Genius as well - it looks good but unfortunately I can't tell you what it tastes like as it also contains egg, and I'm egg free too (yeah, yeah, I'm a nightmare dinner guest ...) :)
  • That is amazing news!!! Well done and keep going xxx
  • Maybe do calisthenics such as press ups, tricep dips, etc until you can save up for / get hold of some weights? That way your whole body can be used as a weight. Look up calisthenic exercises on the internet and see what you think x EDIT - sorry thisisjl, didn't see your post until I had also posted!
  • Forget trying to MAKE wheat free bread, try DS (gluten/wheat fee) Brown Ciabatta Rolls. I have an intolerance to wheat which means I can take it in very small amounts as long as it doesn't build up in my body. I have been eating wheat free bread for 13 years now. This is the one that tastes most like bread and not…
  • Hi - I had the same problem! All I wanted was a basic weights bench with no added bits all over it so that it was easy to store and keep in the house. I ended up finding a lovely fold-flat one on ebay (from www.fitness-superstore.co.uk). Looking forward to that arriving. I was actually at Powerhouse Fitness yesterday. It…
  • A gallon a day is 4.5 litres according to my google searches - omg how do you drink that much lol!! I can easily do 2-3 litres a day, but don't think I could up it to 4.5. It's true though, the more water you drink, the more you crave (up to a limit, with me), and if you do it for a while you eventually don't need to pee…
  • I never use stationary bikes because it hurts my bottom!!! And I'm quite fit and active, and I am as heavy as you, almost exactly. HOWEVER, if you are having pain as you describe it may be wise to check it out with your doctor (especially if you're British and it's free). It is always good to rule out anything sinister. xxx
  • LOL LOL LOL at our weekend routines being very similar!!!! (but I am trying to change!)
  • re - http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/ That is a great article!!!
  • I’m heavier than you, but in a similar position! When you say it goes pear shaped at the weekend, do you mean because you let yourself have more calories then? That’s what I was doing – having a little drink, a takeaway, snacks ... lol. I figured because I was eating well and working out five days a week that I could…
