I love the fresh start aspect of Mondays also! Plus, it is the first of the month - for some reason Mondays on the 1st day of a month are particularly empowering!

I am going to stop focusing on food and just continue to make "good" foods available. She does Karate which she likes but it had occurred to me that we need to take family walks and be more active in general. She likes to cook and I think it is a great idea to get her more involved in that also! I really appreciate your…

It's late in July, but I have been looking for walking peeps.... and I like the idea of tracking steps, which I already do with my fitbit! So far I have walked 122K steps for the month of July (an average of about 6K steps per day)....so I am going to shoot for 30% more for the rest of the month with a total step count of…

I had a similar thought about this after I made my initial post....I do a lot of things that I don't necessarily like but I do them anyway. Paying bills, cleaning house, working for a living, etc. For now, exercise is in that category. I am sure that a part of that is because I have never done any exercise routinely, and I…

I always forget about the crockpot! Need to get mine out too!

I appreciate all of the replies! So what I am gleaning is that I need to take it one day at a time. I can do that

I stopped drinking it 10 days ago, as an experiment. I wanted to see what effect it would have on my weight loss. Don't know if it was mental or what, but I did not crave sweets as much and lost almost 5 pounds.

How awful is it that this thread is 11 pages long? After reading your experiences I feel very lucky that I have not had that many comments made about my weight...the only one that I can really think of right now is when I was expecting my first baby (and not at a healthy weight) and a lady giving me a pedicure commented…

Hello, and welcome. :)

These are great ideas! I am going to try and find some wraps. Is it just me or does anyone else find it a drag to pack their lunch? I know it is necessary but it is such a pain!

I pulled the plug on WW also, after being a member on and off again for most of my adult life. I think that anything will work if you work it, but I had gotten to the point where I was not going to meetings and not tracking so I decided to save myself the monthly fee. I would have to agree that the support on MFP is more…
