  • Definitely doable but would it be healthy?
  • I second the fitbit. Depending on which one you buy they can be a little spendy, but totally worth the money. We are also doing a 10,000 step challenge at work and it's really fun! I find myself getting very competitive about how many steps I'm taking.
  • You have so many more options instead of getting your tubes tied. Condoms, Mirena, ect. Talk to your doctor to decide what is the best option for you. I went off BC for a similar reason. I put on at least 15 lbs while on it, I wasn't fortunate enough to have the weight melt off, but my mood was better, I wasn't so…
  • This. I'm not hungry when I first wake up, so I budget time into my morning routine, so I arrive to work about fifteen minutes earlier so I can peacefully eat something. I'm not a fan of "breakfast" stuff, so I just go with a sandwhich or something else healthy.
  • Every day, but I record every week on Monday.
  • I've been fighting genetics my entire life. My junior year in high school I was diagnosed with chronic migranes and put on a medication who's major side effect was you would lose weight. I dropped 25 lbs by the time I started my senior year, and another 20 by the end of it. At the start of college I was down a total of 65…
  • I'm a huge chocolate lover. I've found the jello 60 calorie snack packs are enough. There are a ton of different 100 calorie snack packs (my fav are chocolate covered pretzels) and I'm good with that through most of the day.
  • I take them before I go to bed at night. I put them above the fridge, so when I get my water out I also remember to take my vitamins.
  • When I first lost a bunch of weight about seven years ago, I had a lot of really concerned people tell me to stop losing weight. One was even so concerned, she told my mom that she thought I had an eating disorder. She of course laughed that off since she was working out right a long side me and knew what I was eating and…
  • Agree, it's definately water weight and your body thinking it's in starvation mode from not eating enough. If you are going to burn 1600 calories by walking I suggest you set your calorie intake significantly higher than just 1200.
  • Don't shop while you're hungry. Eat a snack before you go. My list always has apples, bananas, strawberries, blueberries and one "exotic" fruit for the seasons. Veggies are always fresh cucumber, broccoli, spinach and carrots. I usually come home with more than that, but those are the items I feel I must come home with…
  • 5'8 I have a medium frame. I was at 140 lbs at one point but I was too skinny. I'm currently at 190 and a healthy weight would be 165-170
  • Agreed. My cousin did this and she lost almost 50 lbs. However she has a lot of health issues now because of it.
  • This. Unless you go through at least two or three packs of gum a day you aren't going to notice these calories. However, try to chew the sugar free stuff, because most gum is loaded with sugar.

  • All the bad stuff. I really have to pay attention to what I'm eating and when. Potato chips, greasy loaded cheese burgers and chocolate are always my gateway to bad eating.
  • 27 here with 20 lbs to go. Looking forward to keeping off the weight this time! I'm also not into the party scene and never was. However my friends in college who were made a big point to stay active to keep those calories away. They also drank "light" versions of drinks.
  • People are dumb. You've got to do what is best for you. I'm 5'8 and have been told 170 is in the healthy range for me. I'd like to get to 165.
  • I pack a lot of fresh fruits and veggies during the day. I love to munch on stuff so this is really helpful and fill me up quick. I know this sounds dumb, but I drink a TON of water during the day which has really helped with my appetite.
  • Time for a new scale. Mine used to do this all the time. The cheaper they are the sooner they start to do this.
  • 194 this past summer.
  • From what I know, it works for some. I am not one of those people it works for, unfortunately. I don't want to be on a diet for the rest of my life, I'm trying to make a lifestyle change. While the splurging or going over the calories is motivation for some, it's not good enough for me. To me it's everything in moderation.…
  • What's keeping me going in a good exercise buddy, and two different bridesmaids dresses. One is for October and one is in May. My goal is to not need any insane alterations to the dress for May.
  • Yes. Although I've always thought I've looked bigger than I am. I'm not sure. What are you measuring with?
  • I saw a documentary once about a woman who was addicted to exercising. She battled with a lot of different eating disorders too. You might want to google too much exercising and see what you come up with. She would "punish herself" for eating something as simple as a sugary granola bar, or popsicle. And she always wanted…
  • For sanity's sake I believe it's ok to indulge every so often. There is a line of indulging and overdoing it too. Obviously you wouldn't eat the entire cake, or the dinner. I'd try to keep it within reason. I'm not really sure what Bacon Carbonara is, but the name sounds fattening. Could you add a salad (lettuce or fruit)…
  • This. Is it possible to up the amount of walking you do, or the pace? I don't like running a lot and so I try to walk at a quicker pace than what I would walk my dogs, or leisurely walk around with a friend.
  • I'm a eat when I'm hungry, stop when I'm not kind of person. When I get up I have water, followed about 30 minutes later by a piece of fruit. About an hour later is cereal with milk. Depending on how much times goes past before I feel hungry I may have a full meal or I might snack. If its only been an hour and a half to…
  • Whole wheat pasta with parmasan cheese and italian dressing.
  • THIS. It helps keep me on track. I record my weight on Tuesdays with MFP to show progress.
  • This. I swear they are the only jeans that accomodate my larger hips and thighs without causing me to go up a size, or have insane gapping. I also like GAP jeans, but they are constantly changing their styles and fits so you have to be patient and try the different fits.
