@fishgutzy Copied and pasted from above----why do you judge if it has been stated that it is a safe device..why judge others who need additonal assistance? 1. It has been out for over 4 years and seems safe. How can it be unsafe besides an infection? 2. None of the trial people have developed an eating disorder or bulimia.…

I've had mine for over a year and I LUV it, it fits my wrist beautifully and I've ordered different bands and watch faces, yes it tracks my workouts and uploads them here.

It's medicine and science, modern developments keep so many alive that are poorly equipped for life.

Hello Bab - you can add me , I'm not in the UK but what the heck, chatty ppl live everywhere.

I've found Prosecco and Champagne that do not stall my progress. Some are between 1-3 carbs and quite good. Have read that white alcohol is also low carb but it isn't something I enjoy, i.e. rum, vodka, gin. Great Topic!

@jessica_sodenkamp How tall are you and approx what age? Are you here at MFP to reach specific goals? How much do you currently weigh? Are you happy or unhappy about your weight loss?

Around here there are Bass Pro stores that have many different brands of jerky/protein sticks. You can browse online also to check if any fit into your macros. Good luck now that you're in maintenance, am following this thread for other ideas as well.…

Pork Rinds are an ez snack for me if not in the mood for my usual celery, pickles or Boullion, happy to say I liked them even before this woe. Now occasionally add hot sauce and black pepper. Here in South Fl many types are sold with all those additional seasonings already added-in. Lovely crunch.

Was at an Irish restaurant and the side order that came with the Corned Beef was cabbage sautéed in bacon, it was praise worthy cabbage.

Thanks for repost @carshena85 If you here for fitness and to be accountable for exercise, then eat back a small part of those calories burned----however, if you're here for weight loss "be careful" about adding in extra calories. if you do not create a deficit, you will not lose any weight.

Yes , it must be kept. Goodness knows, people need options.....it really seems that the critics just don't get it. For someone who has had ongoing issues due to being Obese, this is just one possible tool. No problem that any of these candidates will develop bulimia, if they could have thrown up the calories of extra food,…

Right along with this is how distorted portion sizes are , so in many cases one serving of high glycemic vegetable is actually two or three.

I do log very consistently but never weigh, measure or do more than a " guesstimate " Originally joined for FITNESS, I wiggle out of exercise and avoid it, otoh having an Apple Watch and logging fitness/workouts plus the LCHF lifestyle have helped tremendously. Everyone can see that I'm smaller now.

@ordangordon How are you doing so far? What changes have you made?

I think I may have learned this here, just say to the server " no flour, no cornstarch, no sugar" and then order your favorite. The Asian restaurants are accustomed to hearing this and adjust nicely. I get double veggies, no rice or noodles but that part is up to you. Some people also request " no msg". Usually I end up…

You can get this job done, but a fair warning " you have to REALLY want it" . Good Luck and all the best :)

Just listened and have to admit that I thought in the absence of high blood pressure, our salt consumption in support of this WOE was healthy ......not a big fan is an understatement???

The brand I've been using is Stevia Select: Amazon:

One diet or the other isn't as important IMHO as teaching about " portion control" in fact, many ppl here have said they were shocked by true and accurate measuring and weighing of the actual amounts of food.
-
This is my go to also but w/o the cheese, do ask for extra pickles--- it's super to eat out & enjoy, request double veggies, extra butter and salt your food.....as for alcohol, I have found champagne or/and Prosecco with 1 carb per 5 ounce serving. At any Asian restaurant, from this blog and the Reddit blog, I learned to…

Actually have been using a Dark Chocolate liquid Stevia to add to coffee or decaf, can't tell you how good it is. In my past life pre (LCHF) it was normal for me to enjoy chocolate treats, this cuts out any deprivation. The dark choc stevia along with heavy cream and Kerry gold are as good as good can get.....still losing…

"Joy Filled Eats" is a wonderful title for a food website!

Love your question, today i'm going to confess that i ate a cup of cherries. They were 21 delicious carbs and sweet. You did a great job of eating only 4 chicken nuggets......we learn as we go. Continued good luck to you @Xo_healthylc :) ;) :)

This information points to and reinforces the idea that for many people CICO will not work.

Excellent to start a one week focus group - I'm in and my goal is to drop one pound by next Wednesday. Thanks for getting us going @PamamaJane

Five pounds to go here ........I log and am hoping to be at goal by start of Sept.

This is my issue as well but I keep my carbs between 20-60 everyday and I'm lactose intolerant. Are you a vegetarian? If not then all of our meat sources are Non Dairy, I find there are no issues with enjoying grilled chicken, steak, hamburger and bacon. The Kerry Gold butter doesn't upset my stomach but most days I never…
